So you see: Ancient Science is now Ancient History.

And what about Ascension? This is also quoted as material to read. Does it refers to the 2 articles titled "The Quest for the Holly Grial"? Because I remember it refred to as a book.

And: Is there a reazon why the podcasts are so short?

That catalogue looks just....... delicious.

Ascension was the first incarnation of Ancient Science. It was about 200 pages. Ancient Science grew to about 400, and now Secret History is 877. So, basically, as I continued to work on it, it doubled in size each time... Finally, they took it away from me and won't let me work on it anymore. I'm told that if I have more to say (and I DO!) that I must put it in another book because it is so big that it could easily be used as a weapon (or a door stop).

Yeah, you might also want to think about those that have to deliver it; we have a little old post-lady who'll have to lug that monster to the door. ;) Great to hear about a UK Red Pill press (the catalogue is very swish) - does that mean other card options? Like maybe... Switch/Solo?

How long would you like them? The most recent one was almost 50 minutes. We figure that 30 mins is the outter limit of most people's attention spans

Hi Joe,

IMO, apart from the attention span of most people, the other factor is the file size. Right now 30 to about 45 mins seem to be just right, but if someone is using dial up connections, I presume he/she might disagree with me. :)

All the positive feedback about the catalogue is very encouraging! Will let you all know as soon as it goes live.
Other card options? yep - all the normal ones.

Why not 2 hours long?
Why not?
I am of short attention span. That is precisely why I have figured a way to give me a pause, by activating the STOP function on my diskman. Then, when I feel I can go on, I just activate the PLAY function, and it resumes!: This system works heavenly for me!
I am on dial-up. That is why I find it great to have the podcasts split in parts and, besides that, large and small download option.
To this end, it is also great to have the chance to download the podcast any other given day since the download links are there permanently.
For those of us with short attention spam, is it necesary to drink the whole 2 hours podcasts in one go?
2 hours is too long? Well, then follow and allow what the particular podcast requires of time, and not like "ok 47 minutes mark now... we HAVE to go!" -Why? Is there a comercial incomming or the next show waiting for its turn, knocking at your door, or the chain applying "special fees" per extra minute?
Me I would be very thankful for 2 hours long podcasts (twice a week!): How many things are there to analize and comment? I would not complain. Why would I? Besides, I could even order a CD, no?
Does Laura considers the "attention span" factor when she writes?
Example: JP had not the chance to talk about esoterics, and I wanted to hear him: Time was running-out. Why? Were/What is the hurry?
Give Laura or any guest the mic and close the door and just let her talk... Dont give her subject, nor time. Just give her some water and cigaretes. She will eventually get tired. Then you offer the download in 3569 parts if you want.
If somebody faints because of the size of the files, or the number of the parts or the lenght of the podcasts... well then you will have one complain: Suggest this person to only download and listen what s/he considers appropiate for it's own benefit.
Is just to want, I think.

Don't put the words "drink" and "podcast" together in the same sentence; I'm having flashbacks of the original Christmas 2005 version that never existed.

Four words on the singing (that doesn't exist...): the voices of angels. Angels asking, "Where's my tobacco?!"
