Anomalous drop in temperature on the Moon

Hey guys,

A very good friend of mine send me this video a little while ago, it's short only 11 min but it was very interesting, during 2020 a drop in temperature was observed on the surface on the moon, a study made the case that it was caused by earthshine, a phenomena where light reflected by the earth affects the surface of the moon. They suggested that the drop in human activity due to the lockdowns and the drop in green house gases caused earthshine to diminish and thus lower temperatures.

But the guy on the video then cites another study in which a closer inspection actually shows a drop in temperature on the moon during 2019 and 2018, no lockdowns. Moreover he says that earthshine could not account for such a drastic drop on the moon, 5 degrees C, so it remains a mystery.

I was thinking about cosmic rays, and other phenomena that affects the moon, but then me and my friend discussed this and the idea of "food for the moon" came up in our conversation and we wondered if human activity itself, not just gases, may indeed have an impact that may be observable on our cosmic neighbor.

So, I figured I would bring it up here for discussion and see if anyone may have different ideas about it.

Here is that second study that shows abnormal temperature drops in 2018 and 2019 as well:

I checked when the solar wind came almost to a stop, but that was in December 2022 and before that in 1999, so it is not related to this Moon temperature drop anomaly.
