Anonymous Planning Massive UFO Prank

Hi all,

Just saw this on the Anomalist and thought I'd post it here: _http://www.ghosttheory.com/2011/05/16/massive-ufo-prank-on-the-way

Apparently, Anonymous is gathering force for a new endeavor (this time a UFO related prank) and they are doing it just for the 'lulz'.

On May 22nd, 2011 at around 8:00 pm EST the operation is set to commence. The plan is simple, flood UFO websites with fake reports of a triangular UFO. Then just sit back and watch the world go crazy.

Just a heads-up :-)

I think it's going to be HILARIOUS.... IF it hasn't gotten too much exposure in advance. Even Fox News knows how to google.

True :)

I also think it's going to be an interesting semi-controlled experiment similar to injecting a radioactive tracer into a vein and observing how it gets distributed throughout the body. But I've also got a feeling that the whole thing may be canceled because the news is literally all over the interwebs by now. I've seen a few threads in various forums full of people berating each other for letting the cat out of the bag too soon and spoiling the surprise.

Just out of interest: will the mods keep an eye out for a sudden influx of new signups to this forum around the time the prank is supposed to take place? I'm guessing that the Cs forum may be perceived by outsiders as just a UFO forum and may be targeted too.

I wonder how this article ties in. Premiers on the 22nd as well! :/

I don't know but if you want to do a good prank, you don't announce it in advance. Unless the prank is to hide something else.

Maybe that was part of the plan. I wouldn't grant 'Anonymous' any amount of naivety that isn't due.

Anonymous always reminds me of the Ancient Greek gods: random, unpredictable, sometimes fickle, sometimes STS, sometimes STO but immensely powerful and unstoppable when focused.

I have a feeling that such a large de-centralised and distributed source of power will definitely have a significant role to play in the changes to come (or maybe it's just me). But one thing is for certain: Anonymous, by just being what it is, is a potential worm in the apple of any STS plan and will probably furnish the necessary excuses and rationalisations needed to exert more and more control over the populace simply because they ARE the populace.

I wonder if we are perhaps in for a few close calls with comets, and some other 'signs and wonder' in the sky on the 21st/22nd, and these are just pre-emptive (4D?) damage control to drown out any real reports?

It definitely does sound like a 'de-sensitisation' operation going on, doesn't it?

As wikileak presented itself if I remember.

Something else that make me suspicious is this.
The plan is simple, flood UFO websites with fake reports of a triangular UFO.

Why specifically triangular UFO and not all kinds. Why not the saucer shape which is more popular and know or light orbs. The U.S. have triangular airplane in there arsenal (fleet) and surely have developed more advanced one.

Let wait and see.

They might be that potential worm in the STS apple, but they sound to me more likely to be fertile ground for ponerization. Easy to be taken over by pathological characters.

Personally, I don't feel much sympathy for people who do this kind of thing "just for lulz". I don't see the humor in an activity that amounts to spreading disinfo.

I spent some time on some of the forums and imageboards of "Anonymous". Actually participated in their "War on Scientology". And I can attest to the fact that the groups of them that you can actually find are either ponerized in the way that naive children form mobs and arbitrary hierarchies, or they are simply ineffective due to lack of skill and wishful thinking.

A herd of cats is the best description of them that I've heard.

Still, if properly organized and informed, they could be useful, and in fact quite dangerous to the plans of the PTB. It's really all a matter of the circumstances. If there is some galvanizing event, such as the Wikileaks release and subsequent attacks on Julian Assange, they can be spurred into action on a united front. In retaliation for the attacks on Julian Assange, they commenced DDoS attacks on websites of credit card companies and banking institutions. And now I've read that some of them are trying to form a new currency called the "Bitcoin".

There's also a Facebook Group named "ANONYMOUS VICTORY", that's interesting to follow.
