With James Colburn. Some of you may remember his films In Like Flint, and Our Man Flint. The President's Analyst was made along the same time frame. Another highly entertaining and highly informative movie.
After taking the job as POTUS analyst James Colburn's character started not liking how he had to live under the microscope of the intel agencies, so he decided to take off, knowing better than to try to dod so with the aforementioned agencies knowledge. soon he found himself on the run and hunted by assassins, The KGB wanted him as well, but not to kill him. In the end he found out thaqt the phone company wanted to control it man woman and child globally. It's hilarious and with hints of the real truth in comedic form as Hollywood can only do. The movie never made it big at the box office, one can only hazard at to why. Oh btw I have a working link so you can watch it if you like and here it is. Don't worry it's legit and virus free, but keep the anti virus and firewall up anyway, it's only smart baseball.

Great movie... very entertaining especially given the times. Probably Colburn's best outside the Flint films, which remind me of Dean Martin's Matt Helm films, which are even more ridiculous... Bond take-offs all of them, only pushing the comedy instead of the drama, ie, more 'girls' and as much innuendo as possible, which make you:   ;D Male fantasy product that Hollywood studio guys do so often... now if the Wachoski brothers would utilize comedy instead, they could probably get away with so much more. This film in particular, The Prez Analyst, reminds me of that 'round robin' quote L made in relation to the C's mention of the subject... all the spy vs spy aspects seem to spiral round and round and in and out endlessly until he seeks an 'out'.

I liked the Matt Helm and Flint movies growing up, and watch them if I can, when they come on cable.
