Source: Military targets in Hama & Aleppo, Syria hit by missiles – state TV

Powerful explosions have been heard in the countryside of Hama and Aleppo provinces, the Syrian state news agency reports. The state media says military bases there were hit by rockets launched by an unspecified enemy.
The alleged attacks were reported by Syria’s Sana news agency on Sunday evening. Citing a military source, it said that “a new aggression with hostile missiles” took place at around 10:30 pm local time, targeting military positions in the Hama and Aleppo villages.

A Syrian law enforcement source told RIA Novosti that the army’s munition depots were hit, in what was most likely an airstrike.

There have been unconfirmed reports of injuries and fatalities as a result of the reported strike. Sky News Arabia reported, citing rebel sources, that up to 38 people might have been killed.

Israel? or FUKUS? hmm since Douma is lost, opening a new front back on Aleppo area? Have to review what is the status in Aleppo area, are there still "militants/rebels" in that area which could take over on the ground?

I've just came across this too, the alleged videos of the strike show a very big explosion:

Most reports are saying it's Israel, but is unclear as usual.

Syria strike was so powerful, it registered as an earthquake
Haaretz Apr 30, 2018 12:15 PM
European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre confirms blasts caused 2.6-magnitude earthquake in Hama area
Monday’s ‘enemy’ rocket attacks on two of President Bashar Assad’s military bases registered as a 2.6-magnitude earthquake in the Hama area, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre said

On Sunday evening, the Syrian army stated that its bases on the outskirts of the city of Homs, and in the district of Aleppo, had been attacked. A Syrian human rights organization said the attack had been on the home base of the 47th Brigade, at which Iranian forces are stationed, and on bases belonging to the regime of President Bashar Assad in the area of the Salhab airport, west of Hama. Several dozen people died in the attack, the group said say.

The attack apparently targeted major arms caches, including surface-to-surface missiles that Iran seeks to deploy in Syria, according to assessments.

Last week, reports said that U.S. and Israeli spy agencies have been watching movements of Iranian arms to Syria, and Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman said that Israel will not allow Iran to set up positions and bases in Syria from which to fire missiles.

I just caught up on this latest development in Syria...
[sigh...rant coming on]
The people of Syria have suffered enough! I'm so fed up of this! The lies, deceit, propaganda & hypocrisy! I feel like just screaming to the world at late ENOUGH ALREADY! There was no chemical weapons attack in Ghouta, F.UK.US are there on Syrial soil illegally, ISIS is armed trained and funded by the US and this mad mission to destabilise Syria in order to get to Iran is untenable and ridiculous! Meanwhile the UN just sits there doing nothing, and the lying MSM continue to peddle their utter BS and propaganda!
[...end of rant]

As mentioned above, while the source of the latest strike is unknown, there are suggestions it was Israel.

Bashar Assad said Monday that the whole regional map is being redrawn, and that powers opposing Syria went from a phase of indirect aggression through supporting the rebels, to a direct attack after the failure and defeat they suffered on Syrian soil.

Speaking during a meeting in Damascus with Alaeddin Boroujerdi, head of Iran's parliamentary committee on national security and foreign policy, Assad added this move only empowered the Syrian's people dedication to continue combating terrorist organizations.

The targeted bases were manned by the Syrian army as well as Iran's Revolutionary Guard, and housed several missile warehouses, according to the Lebanese newspaper Al Akhbar. The report adds that several dozen were wounded and evacuated to nearby hospitals. According to the report, Bunker Buster bombs were used, which makes it likely the launch was airborne.

In the past, several critics have associated Al Akhbar with the Iranian-backed Shi'ite movement Hezbollah, as well as the Assad regime.

The Syrian newspaper Tishreen reported on its facebook page that the attack was carried out by nine ballistic missiles fired from U.S. and British military bases in northern Jordan. This has yet to be verified or confirmed by any other source at this time.

Reports say that dozens loyal to the Syrian regime were killed in the explosion. Contrary to recent attacks on the Assad regime, after which the Syrian army reported its defense systems shot down some of the missiles, no such claims were made after the strike.

The Iranian news agency Tasnim quoted the commander of the Iranian-backed Afghan militia Fatemiyoun as saying the the military base near the northwestern city of Aleppo is unharmed, as are his forces.

Syrian state TV says successive blasts were heard in the Hama province and authorities are investigating the response. Shortly after the explosions, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre said the blasts caused a 2.6 magnitude earthquake in the area.

The Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said shelling targeted a Syrian army base, home to the 47th Brigade, near the city of Salhab, west of Hama, where Iranian forces are also stationed.

The monitor said rockets also hit Syrian government bases in the region surrounding Nairab military airport, which is close to Aleppo International Airport.

It was not immediately clear who was responsible for the rocket fire, the Observatory said.

President Trump spoke on Sunday with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, according to a White House readout. It said they "discussed the continuing threats and challenges facing the Middle East region, especially the problems posed by the Iranian regime’s destabilizing activities." The call took place just hours before Netanyahu met for the first time with Trump's new Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, who is visiting the Middle East.

Earlier Sunday, Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman said Israel will maintain freedom of operation in Syria.

“We have no intention to attack Russia or to interfere in domestic Syrian issues,” Lieberman said at the annual Jerusalem Post conference. “But if somebody thinks that it is possible to launch missiles or to attack Israel or even our aircraft, no doubt we will respond and we will respond very forcefully.”

The remarks came less than a month after a strike on an air force compound in Syria that is under exclusive Iranian control – a strike attributed by Syria, Iran, and Russia to Israel. Several members of Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps were killed in the strike. This past Tuesday, Lieberman said Israel might strike the Russian-made S-300 anti-aircraft defense systems in Syria if they are used against Israel.

At Sunday's conference, Lieberman said that Israel has three problems: “Iran, Iran, Iran.”
_Syria strike destroyed 200 missiles, killed 11 Iranians, source in pro-Assad alliance says

I bet it was Israel behind that attack. They knew that today Netanyahu would be making accusations against Iran and that those would be making the headlines all over, so they took the chance do a little bombing on Syria right before that. It is also a mafia-style message to Israel's rivals, to be read with Bibi's words in mind.

Here's a link to what Netanyahu said today:

Netanyahu Accuses Iran Of Developing Secret Project To "Test And Build Nuclear Weapons"

I would bet on Israel, too, especially given Netanyahu's "revelation" about Iranian secret project today, unveiled from Israel's version of The Pentagon, an optical reference to wartime.

Which means that Trump's next tweet could end the price of oil soaring, and potentially greenlight a middle-eastern conflict far greater than the proxy war in Syria.

Soaring Oil Prices See Saudi Economy Bounce Back | OilPrice.com
Apr 30, 2018, 3:00 PM CDT Snip Teaser:
Saudi Arabia’s success in leading both OPEC and non-OPEC production partners in reigning in record high OECD oil inventories amid the group’s ongoing oil output cut is starting to pay off for Riyadh.

In a report late last week BMI Research said that the Saudi economy is poised to grow by 1.6 percent this year amid a rebound in oil prices and an easing of fiscal austerity.

“The Saudi economy will recover in 2018, as continued gains in oil prices support the government’s move towards a more expansionary fiscal policy in turn boosting consumption in the Kingdom,” BMI said in its report.

I have little doubt that Israel was behind this recent attack in Syria. As far back as last October, Israel has been playing it's little games.
Israel operates by deception and generally tries to weaken and eliminate it's strongest opponents first. FUKUS and the Saudi's are just Israel's proxies. Since the beginning of this War - seven years ago, the mantra was "Assad must GO!" Assad and his Government gained the upper hand by inviting Russia and Iran to help preserve Syria's homeland. Now, the heat is on Russia and Iran and it's side kick, Hezbollah. I suspect, the Skripal Affair was staged by Mossad to mainly discredit and weaken Russia but Russia was steps ahead of Israel on the Chessboard, so now, Iran is the main target. In the air - there's a feeling we're on the cusp of a direct confrontation with Israel and it's proxies on one side and Syria, Russia and Iran on the other. In the past two months alone, it seems that Russia has been making some major moves to meet that confrontation - head on? A second set of Russian Cargo Vessels (a month apart) have been documented as inbound for the Syrian Port City of Tartus, both carrying new military equipment and supplies. I also reason, the targets in Hama and Aleppo that Israel bombed - were void in Iranian supplies and personnel, due to recent activity at the T-4 Base, etc. with Cargo planes moving equipment and supplies closer to Damascus? See links at the end of this rough time-line of events ......

Israel Air Force Destroys Syrian Anti-aircraft SA-5 Battery in Retaliation

The Syrian Army warned Israel "of serious ramifications of it's repeated aggression" and have claimed they hit one of Israeli aircraft. Israel denies the claim. Israeli Air Force Planes infiltrated Lebanese airspace near the Border in the Baalbek area at 8:51 am, and the aerial defense apparatus fired in their direction. One of the planes suffered a direct hit and had to escape, the Syrian Army claimed in a statement. At 11:38 am, the Israeli enemy launched several missiles from inside Israeli territory, which fell in one of the Syrian outposts on the outskirts of Damascus. According to IDF spokesman's Office, the Anti-aircraft SA-5 Battery, located 50 km East of Damascus, fired a missile at Israeli Fighter Jets on a reconnaissance mission over Lebanon around 10 am. The Fighter Jets responded two hours later by launching four bombs towards the Battery, destroying it's fire control radar.

The US-led coalition insists that the retaliatory airstrikes were purely ‘defensive’ in nature and that it was only living up to its obligation to protect partner militias and foreign advisors involved in the so-called ‘defeat-Daesh (ISIS)’ campaign.

Russia deploys missiles on its own territory, NATO goes ballistic - Fort Russ

The real cause of NATO’s concern is not “transparency”, but the combat capabilities of Russia’s Iskanders and the political will to use them. Indeed, the putting of Iskanders in Kaliningrad on alert bears serious implications for the military and political situation in the Baltic region. On February 5th, Russia deployed Iskander-M operative-tactical rocket complexes near Kaliningrad. These “OTRC’s” are designed to destroy an opponent's reactive volley fire systems, anti-missile hardware, air defenses, aircraft and helicopters at airfields, command posts, and infrastructural facilities. One OTRC Iskander-M is capable of hitting targets at ranges of up to 500 kilometers with two types of missiles - ballistic and cruise. It is obviously not spoken above a whisper, but the implied, hypothetical, main target of these Iskanders - if things reach this point - would the American missile defense systems in Eastern Europe that have been installed under the pretext of “defending against Iranian missiles.”

Trump: Israel proven right after Netanyahus exposure of Irans nuclear weapons archive
Speaking in a press conference at the White House after Netanyahu presents giant trove of 'conclusive proof' that Iran is developing nuclear weapons, Trump also says recent events have 'really shown that I have been 100% right.
Ynet and Reuters|Published: 04.30.18 , 23:37 Video's
US President Donald Trump said on Monday that Israel has “been proven right” after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s presentation of what he said was “conclusive proof” of a secret nuclear weapons project underway underway in Iran—evidence that the prime minister said proved that Tehran had lied “big time” to the international community.
“You know in seven years that deal will have expired and Iran is free to go ahead and create nuclear weapons. That’s not acceptable. Seven years is tomorrow. That’s not acceptable,” Trump said during a press conference at the White House.

“So no, if anything it’s proven right what Israel has done today with the news conference and Prime Minister Netanyahu just gave a … very, I don’t know if everybody’s seen it but I got to see a little bit of it, and that is just not an acceptable situation and I’ve been saying it’s happening,” Trump said when asked about Netanyahu’s presentation.

“They're not sitting back idly. They're setting off missiles, which they say are for television purposes. I don't think so. So we’ll see what happens, I’m not telling you what I’m doing but a lot of people think they know and before the 12th we’ll make a decision,” he added.

Trump has threatened to withdraw from the 2015 agreement reached between Iran and global powers, which granted Tehran relief from economic sanctions in return for curbs to its nuclear program.

Despite his opposition to the deal, Trump indicated that a final decision has yet to be taken and that the US would be willing to negotiate a “real agreement” whatever its decision.

“That doesn't mean we won't negotiate a real agreement. This is an agreement that wasn't approved by too many people and it’s a horrible agreement for the United States, including the fact that we gave Iran $150 billion, and $1.8 billion in cash,” Trump said, before telling reporters: “You know what we got? We got nothing. We got nothing.

“So that doesn't mean I wouldn't negotiate a new agreement. We’ll see what happens but I think if anything what’s happening today and what’s happened over the last little while and what we’ve learned, has really shown that I have been 100% right,” the president said.

However, Iran's foreign minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said Israel's accusations on Tehran's nuclear program were "old allegations" that had been dealt by the United Nations nuclear watchdog in the past.

"President Trump is jumping on a rehash of old allegations already dealt with by the IAEA to "nix" the deal. How convenient. Coordinated timing of alleged intelligence revelations by the boy who cries wolf just days before May 12. But Trump's impetuousness to celebrate blew the cover," Mohammad Javad Zarif tweeted.

Netanyahu said on Monday he had spoken with the leaders of France and Germany, and that Israel would be sending experts to share its intelligence on alleged Iranian nuclear efforts.

Netanyahu's office said on Twitter that Israel "will send in the coming days professional teams that will share with Germany and France the detailed material Israel obtained on Iran's efforts to obtain a nuclear weapon."

The prime minister also spoke with Russian President Vladimir Putin about Israel's intelligence documents, it said, and the two agreed to meet at a later date.

Israel's spy caper and the Iran nuclear deal
Editorial: Board April 30, 2018
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu prowled the Tel Aviv stage like a game show host on Monday, microphone in hand, slides flashing behind him in a dramatic televised speech aimed directly at Washington. The prime minister paced in front of shelves holding binders containing thousands of documents that he said proved Iran had lied about its nuclear weapons program.

This revelation, if verified, wouldn’t shock anyone who tracked the snarly negotiations in 2015 about what Iran had to reveal to earn an International Atomic Energy Agency sign-off on the deal. Back then, recall, Secretary of State John Kerry was adamant that Iran had to come clean about its nuclear weapons program. Then, oddly, he said disclosure was unlikely and not necessary: “U.S. confidence on this front is based in large part on what we believe we already know about Iran's past activities."

On Monday, an exercised Netanyahu talked about those past activities. The Israeli prime minister, speaking in English, revealed that his nation’s intelligence operatives somehow slipped inside a secret facility in Iran and lifted thousands of documents from a nuclear archive. He said the documents prove that Iran lied about the scope and sophistication of its program to build a nuclear weapon — a violation of the deal.

His implication: If Iran is released from the accord starting in 2025, as the agreement requires, then expect a nuclear Tehran shortly thereafter.

Think of Netanyahu’s dramatic address as the opening act for the main event. That’s President Donald Trump’s decision, due by May 12, about whether the U.S. will remain in the multiparty pact.

Our guess: May 12 will be a big moment, but it probably won’t be a surprising one.
That’s because Trump has long proclaimed the Iran accord as “the worst ever.” Earlier this year, he chafed against top advisers, including former Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, who counseled against ripping up the accord and reimposing sanctions. But Tillerson’s gone with a tweet. Two outspoken Iran deal critics, national security adviser John Bolton and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, are now at the president’s elbow.

That said, no one knows how much of the administration’s posturing is bluster, bluff or some other bargaining tactic. If Trump does withdraw the U.S. from the pact, he’ll need a plan to deal with the fallout if Iran restarts its nuclear program. How would the U.S. and its allies react?

We do appreciate the president’s efforts (:pinocchio:), to rein in Iran's ballistic missile program, eliminate sunset clauses in the pact and expand inspections of Iranian military sites. But we’re skeptical that other countries will go along with breaking the deal in order to improve it.

In recent months, European leaders have floated proposals to do just that. A few days ago, Trump appeared receptive to French President Emmanuel Macron’s proposal to renegotiate and expand the deal rather than tear it up. Macron suggested adding planks to the deal that would rein in Iran's uranium enrichment, its missile programs and its support of militants throughout the region.

Netanyahu’s theatrical presentation was designed to persuade Trump to exit the Iran deal. It also highlighted a central truth: Iran is a dangerous foe, never to be allowed to build a nuclear weapon. The question is whether achieving that goal is easier with Tehran inside the deal, or outside.

I study liars. I've never seen one like Donald Trump.

War by Deception ...

Wed May 02, 2018 - Source: US-Made Missiles Fired by Israeli Fighter Jets at Syria
Farsnews

The Israeli fighter jets fired US-made guided missiles in the recent strikes against the Syrian army positions in Aleppo and Hama provinces, a military source claimed on Wednesday.

The Arabic-language Zaman al-Wasl quoted the military source as saying on Wednesday that the Israeli air force has used US-made missiles during the Sunday night raid at Aleppo and Hama. He added that the same missiles were used in Israel's previous attacks against Syria.

Aleppo provinces. The reports did not mention any casualties from the missile strikes, or who was suspected of the attack.
In a news flash, state television said the missile attacks took place at 10:30 pm local time. Earlier, state television said successive blasts were heard in rural Hama province and that authorities were investigating the cause.

The Syrian army positions came under missile attacks in Hama and Aleppo provinces two weeks after the trilateral attacks by the US, the UK and France.

Several missiles hit the weapons depots in Southern Hama and al-Malekieh region North of Aleppo airport, field sources reported.

No one has yet admitted the responsibility for the attack, but militants' news outlets and social media networks said the US has fired the missiles from Al-Tanf border crossing in Eastern Syria.

Some other sources said that the missile attacks were carried out by the US and in response to the Syrian army's advances East of Euphrates against the Kurdish-dominated Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).

Other sources said that Israel that had previously targeted the T4 airbase in Homs province where the Iranian troops had been stationed has been behind the missile attacks.

There is yet no official confirmation on the origin of the missile launches.

Syria's Tishrin website also reported that nine ballistic missiles were fired from the US and British bases in Northern Jordan at the Syrian army's military positions in Hama and Aleppo.

The Arabic-language Sputnik also reported that 12 soldiers have been killed and many more wounded during the missile attack on the arms depot of the Syrian army's Brigade 47 in Hama countryside.

Further reports this morning revealed that more than a dozen civilians who lives in a village adjacent to one of the Hama depot have been killed in the raid.

The US, France and the UK launched a series of strikes on Syria on April 14 in retaliation for the alleged chemical attack by the Syrian government in the town of Douma. The strikes came hours before the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) team was scheduled to arrive in Douma to determine whether chemical weapons had indeed been used there.

Russia stated that Moscow had proof that it had been a provocation and had been staged by Western-backed NGOs, including the White Helmets. Syria has also dismissed all accusations, calling the reports merely fake news that is aimed solely at helping terrorists and justifying potential strikes against Syrian government forces.

Syrian officials have over and over again denied the allegations, arguing that the chemical attack was staged by terrorist groups, and the government did not need such measures to curb the militants.

Two Israeli fighter jets struck the T4 military base in Central Syria from the Lebanese airspace on April 8, killing and wounding over a dozen militaries, including seven Iranian military advisers. Israeli F-15 warplanes fired eight guided missiles, but Syrian air defense units shot down five before they could hit the air base. Three of the missiles reached the Western part of the military airport.

The incident came two months after an Israeli F-16 fighter crashed after Syria responded with anti-aircraft fire to Israel's operation in its territory. Damacus said its military base came under Israeli fire, and it hit multiple aircraft in response.

The Tel Aviv regime has launched sporadic attacks against various targets on Syrian soil over the past few years, in assaults slammed by Damascus as attempts to boost terrorist groups who have been suffering heavy defeats on the battlefield with President Bashar Assad forces.

The Syrian army has also seized Israeli-made arms and military equipment from militants fighting pro-Damascus forces on numerous occasions ever since the war of militancy started in the country. Israel has also admittedly been providing medical treatment to the militants wounded in the Arab country.

I'm still very impressed how much Trump has actually been able to accomplish and this one is another biggie, which certainly doesn't look like something the deep state likes at all. Say what you want about Trump, I'm still very much in awe in how bluntly, swiftly and successfully he has tackled on many huge issues, like the "russians are at fault" nonsense (basically against the opinion of pretty much everyone else with any say in that country) , pulling out of the Climategate nonsense BIG time (again against huge pressure from pretty much everyone), putting Americans first, creating work and so on, while still not bending towards starting another war. Heads down, I'm impressed! I would seriously consider voting for him in the next election, just to keep all the other crazies at bay for another 4 years. I'm not an American, so I can't vote unfortunately. Which other US-President would have even gotten remotely close on what Trump was able to say and accomplish in a very short time? I can't think of anyone coming even remotely close to the sheer galls Trump has in what he is saying and doing including about the mainstream media.
