Away With The Fairys mini European tour. .help with european venues needed.

Its taken many years to get to this point where i find myself working with other musicians so as to be able to go out and play live , i had actually put it out of my mind as i have so many other things going on at present. BUT a mutual friend of the group of people who are part of our bigger project here lives in the South of France and has invited us to play her birthday party in the first week of May.

She is also looking to book us a gig or two in some smaller bars or venues near her place which is near Toulouse france.

We will kick off our playing in Denmark middle of April , and then cross the border into Germany and work our way down towards the South of France.

I would like to ask any of our members here in the forum who live in any of the European countries along the way if they know of any places that we can play , and could help us to make contact with venues we would very much appreciate it.

If venues have internet that would be even better so we can send out the gigs live across the interet.

We will be making the journey back to Denmark after the first week in May , so dates after then would be good also.

Presently we are keeping our eyes and ears open for a van we can use to get us there and back.

Its such short notice to be announcing such a thing and it may not be possible for any one to be able to help , but just in case.

Good question. There will only be three of us on this journey , alternating instruments during the set. bass , guitars , accordian , vocals , and so on.

We are putting up some of our rehearsal sessions up at
http://www.awaywiththefairys.com in the pod player on the page so folks get a chance to listen to the progression from my fellow musicians who do not know the songs until i introduce them , and taking it to the point when we all know what we are doing and have settled on certain choices and sounds.

There is no particular genre as its from rock pop , alternative /indie to country like ballads , political comment. All music is original.

Some kind of idea can be had from a myspace page thing i have at http://www.myspace.com/fairysawaythewith these are self recorded at home without other musicians , which is now not the case which is good :)

in Copenhagen you can try these smaller venues if you haven't allready. very few left due to cultural depression

Thanks SeekParallel for taking the time to look at the Copenhagen venues. As we are based in Denmark we will be looking at these venues a little later , presently we are looking at venues across the border , beginning with Germany and so on.

Thanks to a member on face book for suggesting a venue in eastern part of Germany which at this point is a little to far out the way for the short term , but who knows , maybe later.

Re Space Rocks , had a go at it the other night and it needs a lot of work on it as a three piece , would like to include it in the set as its fun , but it sounded pretty poor on first attempt the other day

I will attempt to put up a diary page on our site in a few days for updates and for when there is something of interest to put up.

Away With the Fairys, I tried yesterday to contact a singer I used to play with in south of France (I was the lead guitar in his band) in order to see if there are some possibilities that he could arrange you something there but he doesn't respond... sorry
I'll let you know in any case.
