banned removed?

Good morning everyone, just a question.

A few years ago, i was banned for posting drunk and incoherent posts, and rightly so - as it just added more noise and was distracting.
Since then i have cleaned up my act and now work with the salvation army and help to rehabilitate other drunks like myself ;)

Was my ban lifted by someone for Tribal reasons?

And if so thank you! to who ever you are ;) as the ban was not set to expire.

Very much appreciated, my responsibilities have grown and as a first step towards the Tribe, I want to ask for forgiveness for my incoherent drunken rants, and acknowledge posting really is a privilege not to be taken lightly.

Thanx again.

Welcome back to the forum and congratulations on taking the bull by the horns.

Great, now some brass tacks if that's alright? Is this a "white knight syndrome", kind a thing with a paycheck? Not an adept at probing and l realize this is a bit pushy, but l would like to understand where we are supposed to be with this kind of assistance involving others?

This whole thought about assisting others is wrangling me as l also need assistance in the understanding of separating human compassion and morality from where the pulling back of energy should begin. My apologies if this question seems self serving.

Does anyone have a nugget to share regarding the assisting anouther that's in corroboration with the learning that's been happening here at the forum?

Welcome back Stevie jj! And congrats on your progress.

I think Stevie was just referring to the recovery program he's involved in. Many of these programs involve people in different stages of recovery helping each other along. I think the dynamic at work is something like what the C's said in one of this years sessions in that if you have a blockage with something it's good to give the thing you'd like to receive.

It's tough because each situation is unique and there's no blanket solution. If you're struggling with something how about opening a thread on the topic and network about it?

Welcome back, Stevie jj. I am happy to see that you are making an improvement in your life and have "not forgotten" to come back here on the forum. :)

I have had a lot of dealings with salvation army in Calgary and Edmonto. Not sure if they are all the same but if so Perhaps you can help mitigate the corruption that exists throughout.

I'm not where you are at this time, thus lacking in knowledge to handle the opening of a thread. "Give to others what you would like to receive" is a great advice. Thanks!

I'm sure you had to dig down very deep within and use a lot of will power to begin your path to improvement and it sounds like you've had a good start. Well done! Here's hoping the forum will help you keep on your positive trajectory. Best wishes to you for continuing on the path that you started for yourself.

Your story makes me hopeful that my sister-in-law who is also really struggling with alcoholism can make positive changes for herself one day too..

If you go to front page and click on the board where you'd like to post, then you'll see a button on the right that says 'new topic'. Click that and you should be good to go.

Depending on the issue, the 'What's on your mind' board might be a good place, which is here. If you want a little more privacy you could create a new topic on the Newbies board, which isn't open to the public.

If you need any other help feel free to ask.
