This is a 2012 Russian film with English subtitles. I found it by accident today on youtube. It looked interesting so I watched it. It is set in the Russian Army push through Germany in the final days of WW II. A destroyed tank is found on the battlefield after a fierce tank battle. Its driver is still at the controls but burnt to a crisp with 90% burns all over his body. In medical triage he is considered dead, but he fully recovers miraculously with little or no scarring. He has no memory of his past, only his ability to operate his tank and a burning desire to exact revenge on a German ghost tank that is invincible. This would be the White Tiger. He has also acquired the mystical ability to commune with the god of tanks.
A very well made film. The final scene, a fireside chat with Hitler, is chilling in its relevance to the geopolitics of today. We don't get to see who he is talking to as that person remains in the shadows.
