Great video, Lisa. This one actually got a lot of discussion in the the thread for the July 22nd C's session. Here's the post where it started - http://cassiopaea.org/forum/index.php/topic,28561.msg356484.html#msg356484

Going a bit in another direction, :halo:

I think it's only natural to want to stand together arm-in-arm and dance around in circles after listening to Ode to Joy :P

Thanks, I enjoyed them both. Though I feel like I am becoming such a typical sentimental expat. Back home I wouldn't even notice, now I hear bouzouki playing and I am all  !

Thank you Lisa and Nienna! Theses videos had me in tears! It made me feel such hope for humanity. It's like people are thirsty for some good in their lives. It was so moving to just watch this beauty transpire in a video, I can only image the joy it brought to those that experienced it in-person. Both of these events seemed to have developed spontaneously inspired by 1 persons heartfelt intentions for something good and meaningful. And the later video seemed to have taken place in Greece which makes it even more significant in terms of the much needed joy it brought in opposition to the extreme hardship and suffering they've experienced this year, especially to the local people that participated. I love to think of the spark of joy and hope it had on that community and the ripple effect of that 1 event may have on the lives of those who were there that day.

Here are some of the comments that followed the video "Best coin Ever spent". Again they signify that people are waking up and looking for the good in humanity, and appreciating it when they see it. Notice the first comment had 737 likes. And notice the 3rd comment as well. :)

There are those who 'feel' vibration and 'see' music.
The rest hear frequencies counted in the constraint of common Man's understanding of Time. That which is desirable, is dependent upon the receptors of the recipient.
If you do not agree with Cyprus Spirit's brief hostile analysis, You, most likely, reside within the latter category.
The Conductor shown, obviously, does not feel the music, nor does he appear to possess an ability to count in the acceptable rhythm for this piece.
There are many possible view points in which one may critique this segment,
"Only two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former." -Albert Einstein

I agree - thank you both so much for posting these. Both brought tears of joy to my eyes and a feeling of hope as well. Would really have loved to be there in person to witness.

This is a really beautiful video demonstrating...just awesomeness. If you are as soft hearted as I am, get a tissue. :)

....also best 5ish minutes.

I remember this video, and seeing it from a link on this site:

I like how they capture honest smiles and reactions from people, and how the music and the unexpected performance really captures peoples attention. Plus it's a really great song IMO. It's always been a little dream of mine to be able to dance and do one of those dancing flash-mobs. I just love the idea of dancing, combined with breaking down people's expectations of what constitutes acceptable behavior in society. Our society is too rigid and conforming, doesn't allow for personal expression, which is what I personally think leads to extreme (silly) behaviors like dying your hair pink, wearing leather jackets with spikes, etc.

A very nice video and performance :)
