Body Magnetism

The Force is Strong With This One
I recently noticed that not only me but a lot of the people I know they are magnetic. The magnetism is strong at the end of the neck and on the pectoral area, and on the forehead. To Start I tried with 2 euros coin. To connect the coin to my forehead I must concentrate, other friends do not need this at all. Another persons attracts also big objects like forks. Anybody has information about this topic?

I personally find it a difficult subject! In the case of being able to hold a coin on the forehead, that could also be because it sticks, rather than because it is ''pulled'' due to magnetism (or something else). I found an article you might like to read, there is a boy named Paulo who seems to be quite the magnet... : Meet 'Magnet Boy' the 11-year-old Brazilian Who is Attracting Attention - and the Odd Saucepan - With a Bizarre Ability. Here's a video of a father and two sons who seem to be 'magnetic' also! : _http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zwklubddE4Y For some reason, it seems that none of them show a magnetic field (one of them even gets plastic attached). Quite interesting.

I just finished reading a book titled "Energy Medicine, The Scientific Basis" by James Oschman. I intend to post a review of the book in the books section soon, but it does talk a lot about magnetic fields around the body, which are called biomagnetic fields.

Chapter 2 titled "Measuring the fields of life" talks about heart electricity and magnetism, brain electricity and magnetism, and describes the instruments and methods used to measure these fields. His conclusions at the end of chapter 2,

-"Living organisms have biomagnetic fields around them."

-"These fields change from moment to moment in relation to events taking place inside the body."

-"These fields give a clearer representation of what is going on in the body than classical electrical diagnostic tools such as the electrocardiogram and the electroencephalogram."

Chapter 6 is titled "Polarity, therapeutic touch, magnet therapy, and related methods".

An excerpt from page 78, (chapter 6)

"A therapeutic touch practitioner and his patient entered a magnetically shielded chamber containing a SQUID(magnetometer) detector. The practitioner held his hand close to the patient, and a baseline recording was made with the SQUID. Then the therapist relaxed into the meditative or healing state that is the focus of the therapeutic touch method. Immediately the SQUID detected a large biomagnetic field emanating from the practitioner's hand. the field was so strong that the amplifiers and recorder had to be readjusted so that a recording could be made. This was the strongest biomagnetic field Dr Zimmerman had encountered in his years of medical research using the SQUID."

Another excerpt from page 79, (chapter 6)

....."Study conducted in Japan: Seto et al (1992) confirmed that an extraordinarily large biomagnetic field emanates from the hands of practitioners of a variety of healing and martial arts techniques, including QiGong, yoga, meditation, Zen, etc. The fields were measured with a simple magnetometer consisting of two 80 000 turn coils and a sensitive amplifier. The fields had a strength of about 10^(-3) gauss, which is about 1000 times stronger than the strongest human biomagnetic fields (from the heart) which are about 10^(-6) gauss and about 1 000 000 times stronger than the fields produced by the brain"....................."As in Zimmerman's study the biomagnetic field pulsed with a variable frequency centred around 8-10 Hz."

The book did not have any information about testing objects like coins or forks, but was interesting and informative. The end of each chapter is loaded with references.

It can be very possible, but I also thought about the combination of perspiration and the coins. Try doing it just after you took a shower.

I think this phenomenon is most likely the real deal.

Notice also that things that are not magnetic also seem to be "attracted" or stick on some people (the ashtray out of glass in trendsetter37 link).

Here is another interesting case. This woman started to get "magnetic" after an accident in which she was shocked by electricity:

And here is another example:

I also remember a german woman who "attracted" pans and pots.

It sounds similar to what I found recently:

"A man who suffered concussion after diving into a shallow pool has made a seemingly improbable discovery: it made him a musical genius.

Derek Amato, from Denver, Colorado, is just one of 30 people in the entire world suffering from Acquired Savant Syndrome, where people display profound abilities after suffering head trauma.

After years of failed jobs and homelessness, the 40-year-old is now enjoying a career in music and can play eight instruments - despite never having a lesson in his life."

(Wiki) "Alonzo Clemons suffered a severe brain injury as a child that left him developmentally disabled (with an IQ in the 40-50 range), but able to create very accurate animal sculptures out of clay. Clemons can create a sculpture of almost any animal, even if he has seen only a glimpse of it.[1] He is also able to create a realistic and anatomically accurate three-dimensional rendering of an animal after only looking at a two-dimensional image for mere moments.[2] He is most well known for his life-size renderings of a horse, but most of his works are smaller, and accomplished in less than an hour.[3]"

I am one of those who gave up wearing timepieces, watches. All my life, whenever I received a watch for a gift, the thing would freeze up and stop, eventually quit working. Or maybe they were cheap junk watches? All of them though?

Also, I used to work a large data center at night and I swear stuff would crash after I walk by, or just hang out, change discs or something... Other people noticed this too. But it did get me out of going out on the floor sometimes.
 :P :cool2:
