Boris Johnson Resigning As Prime Minister

So an ex city banker, married to a billionairess who thinks ill of any criticism of the old Zio freaks is now our unelected PM. To be honest I was very surprised he lost out to Truss last time out. He'll fill the role for the time being, but I can't help but think that there is a rational case for calling an early general election now. Not that it'll do any good. The mentality of our leaders in the UK is so strange, and insidious. Ostensibly sensible, intelligent people, but there's something missing. Factual substance is what they all characteristically lack. British foreign policy is psychopathic, along with our engineering of WMD's. Our Politicians reflect who really has the power in the UK.
Yes, I can't help but think that Mr Sunak is just a place-holder of some kind; for what, who knows.. but we can surely be certain that it won't be good. Mistakes have been made with Boris and Truss - they went a bit off-script and damage control was needed..
For as long as he lasts, Mr Sunak seems like he will be a more responsive puppet. Great.

Really, it's business as usual. Have mistakes been made at all? Replaced their people and it's all under control with our brain washed public thinking they can't wait to vote them out soon.
Who's waiting to take over Sir Keir, Blair 2 probably an upgraded more sinister version.
I hope with all my heart enough people have had the opportunity to view the man behind the curtain.
Were in a mess for sure and I truly feel our country is on the verge of collapse. The perfect storm is brewing. Years of mismanagement and underfunding in all areas whether planned or not will cause a collapse and this will not be pretty. The click is ticking and can't be stopped.

Fair point. What I had in mind was that - perhaps - Boris and Truss didn't play the role of puppet to the standard required and lost the confidence of those who surround them, and so had to be replaced (which assumes that there might actually be some members of the Tory party with a shred of integrity, which is generous, I know!)

For sure, we seem to be heading for something terrible - if I were a betting man, I'd say that an economic crisis is on the horizon (with a former Chancellor at the helm feeding the public all the usual platitudes), perhaps combined with another round of 'rona fear mongering and totalitarian lock-downs..?
No doubt we won't have to wait too long to find out..

Bill Gates presumably seeing an opportunity...
Bill Gates Meets with UK Opposition Leader Starmer to Discuss ‘Global Health’ and Climate

The American billionaire has not commented on the meeting with Starmer at the time of this reporting. It also does not appear that Mr Gates held any meetings with Prime Minister Sunak on Wednesday.

A meeting between Sunak and Gates may present a conflict of interest now that he is prime minister, given the business ties between Microsoft and Infosys, the Indian tech giant that Sunak married into.
It was reported that during his trip last year, Gates also visited with then Chancellor of the Exchequer Rishi Sunak, and Gates was pictured leaving No.11 Downing Street, then Sunak’s official office. However, no details of the meeting were made public about what was discussed in the meeting.

The decision to meet with the opposition leader just two days after Sunak ascended to Downing Street perhaps demonstrates that Gates has been paying attention to polling, which suggests that Starmer and the Labour Party are heavy favourites in the next general election.
the Labour Party may prove a more fruitful ally for Mr Gates given their pledge to invest £28 billion into green projects if they take control of the parliament.
