Here's some cope: Trump is setting a trap for Israel. Allow them to believe the US is all in on Iran, then when things kick off, Israel is, in one way or another, left the lurch by the US, and allowed to received some serious damage by the US.

If some sailors are doing this, then I'd say it's for other reasons, probably related to being fed up at sea so long and trying to force some shore leave. The average grunt doesn't have the wherewithal to take an informed position on Iran.
