Basically W.W. was speculating that there is going to be a psyop to label the right wing America first people who are against the war as domestic terrorist labeling them extreme right, anti semitic or something. What if this is what is wanted by the US. By destroying Kharg island they cut off Iran's chance to earn badly needed funds to work as an economy and in the long run destroy the country without extensive military moves.
I'm not sure if Kharg Island is the only place in Iran the can load the tankers for export and earn those funds so badly needed. It's just a gnawing feeling and sorry if it's noise.

Iran would have to demonstrate their capability to the world, so a nuclear weapons test by them may be on the cards in the not-too-distant future. How the US/Israel respond to that is anyone’s guess.

They also have a Fatwa (legal/scholarly interpretation of Islamic law) on nuclear weapons, so they have to overcome that too.

It's not a coincidence that the one country in the Middle East that Israel wants to dominate/control that has heaps of resources is the one country that everyone is supposed to get up in arms about gaining nuclear weapons. The hypocricy is astounding.

It's almost like the reason any of these people give for going to war is never real. It's only an excuse to aquire another country or people's land and/or resources.

Just everything else that they need to get access to oil in the Middle East? Iran will respond tit-for-tat. They are effectively holding the entire Middle East energy production process hostage. The shipment routs, transport and manufacturing (refineries), and they are in a much more superior position.
