Brace Yourselves For War Between Iran and Israel

I don't think Trump loses any sleep over upsetting/offending millions of Catholics. I might say that this is the last straw, -for the Catholics in this case, but that's not true—the cup has been overflowing for quite some time.

The naval blockade is a poorly thought out plan, but it doesn't necessarily require US ships to be any nearer the Strait of Hormuz itself. They can intercept tankers elsewhere on their route, in international waters, in a similar way to what they have already been doing but on a larger scale. Some would argue that was always the goal, with disruption of shipping heading to China the main objective.

Brian's been talking about this for a while now.

For people saying the US cannot approach let alone block The Strait of Hormuz - the most likely scenario is US ships remaining out of range of Iranian missiles and drones and using ISR capabilities to first track ships, then use small boarding boats and helicopters to interdict ships - boats and helicopters Iran has no real means of striking once targeted ships leave the Strait.

These are capabilities I talked about when news first broke of US Marine Expeditionary Units being sent to the region - "coincidentally" MEUs were reorganized under Biden specifically to interdict shipping in precisely this manner.
The US could theoretically interdict ships ANYWHERE outside the Strait, especially since they are specifically looking to disrupt shipping primarily to China - a scenario I warned about weeks ago when the war started and have been warning about for years.

There are only so many routes to be taken and the targeted ships must outrun helicopters and fast boats, not the US military vessels launching them...

There is no need for any US ship to approach the Strait itself.

You can see how many of these routes converge on China, and Venezuela happens to be among the countries involved.

It's a reckless plan because any escalation and energy price increases would affect the US themselves, despite them being less dependent on imports of energy. They have been fairly successful at gaming the markets so far, suppressing prices when things threaten to get out of control. That surely has a finite lifespan though, as real shortages mount up and traders become numb to rhetoric and focus more on the reality. So whatever happens the US might have to back off periodically to keep things sustainable. If the Red Sea routes are shut down, for example, then it's quickly going to be a problem.

So who wants to vote on how successful Trump's "blockade" is gonna be? Only applied to ships going to or coming from Iranian ports. Those going to/coming from Saudi, Qatari, Kuwaiti, UAE ports will be allowed to pass. That's a pretty big undertaking, and alone too it seems.
My guess is that some sailors in the U.S. Navy will stage their own "blockade" of the toilets on board ship. Trump will then post that we don't need a blockade and the mission was successful. This will happen before the end of the day today (osit).

Reminds me of Witch King Nazgul of Angmar...

I immediately thought of Sauron, with the one ring to rule them all and in the darkness bind them.

One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them,
One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them
In the Land of Mordor where the shadows lie.

The US hormuz blockade:
Prof Jiang called this pirate navy state move from usa/trump about 2 weeks ago. With the hormuz blockade and controlling every other naval chokepoint. After air trade is affected due to surging jetfuel prices and global lockdown. Taking out china's rail network is crucial for this and peace/ceasefire would be useless for this goal.

Professor Jiang said that trump and usa want to control all the maritime chokepoints such as alaska, panama, blockade hormuz if they cannot control it, and they already have bases in the south east asian chokepoint.

So blowing up chinese silk trade rail routes is very much beneficial to trump. Combine that with air trade lockdown and all trade is dominated by the pirates of good ol US of A.

Edit: alaska/Greenland. I forget if they are the same chokepoint due to geography.
