Grok's post is also incomplete, There are others not mentioned by it in this article , and also others not mentioned in the article (Dos Bocas, Olmeca at Mexico, and Esmeraldas at Ecuador). Perhaps is also the use of word "blown up" by Grok versus "wave of fires and explosions"-- tittle of the article. 1-8 links in the article.

And a couple of recent ones.

1 Valero Port Arthur refinery, TX
2 oil well fire near Etoile, TX
3 Viva Energy Geelong refinery, Australia
4 Vedanta power plant , India
5 HPCL Pachpadra refinery, India
6 CET Vest power plant, Romania
7 NORSI refinery, Russia
8 Tuapse refinery, Russia
9 Dos Bocas, Mexico
10 Olmeca, Mexico
11 Esmeraldas, Ecuador
12 Oil tankers in flames at Homalin Port, Myanmar --22 April
13 Fire at Topsail oil refinery, Russia -- 23 April

Had initially though i had posted an earlier Helmer article on the sinking of the IRIS Dena, yet see it is on SOTT.net

It is an in-depth account from the initial blink, and was quickly dropped by most journalists:

It's also Nazi-like to do a sneak attack on a vessel that is far from the 'war theater'.

Yes, a cowards move on the high seas, and India did not help - Modi etcetera seemed by the initial evidence to have committed a crime.

Here is an interview with the surviving captain (he did not go down with the ship) and the article:

Zarri said the local time was 3:35 am. At 5:06 am, US and other reports indicate the Dena was hit in the aft section with a large explosion breaking the keel. This evidence of a 90-minute interval between the torpedo firings is new and has not been explained. If confirmed, it indicates that after its first strike, the Charlotte asked for orders from its base at Pearl Harbour, Hawaii, the US Pacific Fleet, and the Pentagon. The time in Washington, DC, was between 4 and 5 in the afternoon of March 3.

In that interval, the testimony of the Dena’s first officer indicates that Zarri ordered the crew to assemble on the aft deck and prepare for evacuation, surrender, scuttling, or other options which have not been revealed by Zarri; return of fire was impossible without sub-surface torpedoes. “The second torpedo killed 104 of our friends, our comrades, our dear brothers,” Zarri added, confirming he knew “that was their intention.”

Yeah, posts and comments I saw on the net. I did not search further. This is why I was wondering if it was something really anomalous or something blow up out of all proportion. But I agree, ideally I should have put a better disclaimer in my post about the source of the data itself. I guess the map have been done with AI and does not come from a real article.

Now, the article found by Mabar seems to show the trend is above normal but may be due to from installations stress:

Systemic fragility, not coordinated sabotage

No government has confirmed deliberate sabotage in any of the non-Russian incidents. Australia, India, and the United States have all pointed to industrial or mechanical causes.

But security analysts note that a system under extreme stress does not need coordinated attacks to produce clustered failures, it needs only a higher-than-normal baseline of operational risk, sustained over time, affecting facilities with deferred maintenance and compressed safety margins.

Is it only the real source of disturbances? I don't know.

I don't believe for a minute the explanation that the Australian one was an accident. Grok was just regurgitating the mainstream explanation for you.
Seems suspicious to me too.
