It does seem suspicious, though those who point out that these numbers of fires and breakdowns at refineries are not unusual also have a point:

Clusters occur; they're not new.

Of curse, we have been reporting here for decades. I guess is just as Grok say by clusers, in certain point in time, regarding certain circumnstances as with weather, asteroids (and the like), airplanes (Boeings), shootings, food and electric shortages, etc, etc.

We can't pinpoint the causes with certainty, but it's interesting to observe them, observe the signs of the times.

I checked Clif High's recent substack posts and he still seems to think that Trump is playing 4D chess and is a master strategist in this war. A lot of the comments criticized him for it.

The West has “cards” like oil reserves, demand cuts, and price control.

But Iran has real physical cards: Hormuz, Bab el-Mandeb, and pipeline pressure.

Oil is not just numbers on a screen. It must move through real chokepoints.

And with US summer travel coming, demand will rise unless Americans cancel vacation.
