Camille Paglia: a promoter of pedophilia?

I watched the interview with her and Jordan Peterson at the time - at least most of it. All I would like to add is: while I thought she seemed to make quite a bit of sense, I found it emotionally strenuous to listen to her.

Ha, me too! Her speech is like a non stop barrage, phalanxed with much agitation.

Since this entire topic revolves around a question: does Paglia stand by her comments of 20+ years ago, and since we've all been trying to answer that question based on subjective and limited information, I figured that I should do the obvious thing when people have a question about someone that they can't quite seem to answer: ask the person. So I asked her on FB. No idea if she'll answer or not.

Will be interesting to see if she responds, Joe. While I get that it’s hasty to judge people on who they were/what they thought two or three decades back, (damn, I certainly question some of my music choices back in the day) I do feel there are some issues that are non negotiable. There’s a big difference between changing your views about music, fashion, politics etc., as opposed to advocating for pedophillia & snuff porn. I’d be wary of hanging out with someone who used to think pedophillia was ok, but doesn’t anymore; as opposed to someone who used to like listening to heavy metal but doesn’t anymore. Just my 2cents, & I could be way off base.
