can a psychopath trick another psychopath into thinking he is 'normal'?

Iconoclast

Jedi Master
i'm reading 911 ultimate truth at the moment and enjoyed the 'refresher course' of ponerology excerpts.
it got me thinking weather it is possible for one psychopath to hide his nature from another psychopath, should the need arise.
i know they can easily recognize each other from childhood on, but would the mask of sanity hide him from one of his co-psychos if he wanted to?

i don't think it was covered in any of the relevant literature i've read on the subject.

sorry if this might have already been answered here in the forum.

 YES

The Magic 8 Ball say's so~

run along and go back to sleep !

They recognize, we are not like them. So 'They' will do what ever is necessary to safeguard them selves.
Pretend this, pretend that- above all they will protect themselves. There is no fooling each-other, they take power where they see fit.

we know I do, problem is i keep waking up- cant stand these moments of clarity.
Booze and women and music, will not make these feeling go away- aint no words to describe it~ Im tellin you these feelings wont go away. I 'know' ther subjective.

I would love to go away and have a nice multi millionaire life, really really- would love to. Yet I have no clue~ as how to do it. I'm greedy so long as i get me buzz, and you yourz, - wont steal for it- sorry i learnt that a long time ago.

my wishful thinking always puts me in a bottle, my talents are wasted on fantasy. Little tweak here and a little tweak there, and guess what, the bottle runs out. and here i am with my self and my broken machine. I know ther is something more- i have been there thru the back door, so to speak.

you will not know any different until you try, too 'jump fences', as it has been said before.

Thing is, my history is known- Im not 'tricking' anyone into a bottle of beer and i wont- I want the dreams in the bottle to come true. Have you ever seen a ship in a bottle?

How's about we get that ship out here so we can sail it?

I have problems, and im juggling the changes, scared to change em~ thing about my problems are they are self induced. seem to do better when im about to drop the ball.

A really good friend of mine told me; "Steven your still the womanizer you were in high-school! Grow up!"

So look, my machine is a lean mean drinkin' machine, and i know that is a broken behaviour, - what are you?

I did mean to make light of -Iconoclasts- post, because it was explained in the wave series and adventures withe the cassiopeans.

Give me a really Huge Bottle Of 'Love'-- and i mite swallow what your sayin'

Iconoclast- Im not sure about your Question's answer but im quite sure it was covered in the Wave Series, and Adventures with the Cassies~.

And as far as I go~ im gonna go to the store and get another pint of whiskey.

so i can start up them foot-hills, that lead to the Mountain Crown.

Steven:

Please do not use this forum as a place to post nonsensical, word-salad, stream-of-consciousness NOISE that has nothing to do with the subject of the thread. You are being extremely rude and disrespectful, and it will not be tolerated.

Please read and reflect on the subject of External Consideration, as recommended. A review of the Forum Rules is also in order.

Steven,

Your posting style seems to be holding at bay the very people who can assist you in jumping those fences.

Edit: posted before reading reply #4

I am a broken machine, reading your responses confirms it. i think that i will take a lurk of this moment and linger with my own tools. seeing my self behave this way is , as my Father said- disgusting.

You have shown me the way but i am in struggles with words and actions, towards this first step on the staircase.

Many Apologies to all who have wasted there time replying to my noise. my emotional writing is not in lines with the objective rules of the forum.

Emotions are subjective, yes i know, and expressing it can even be worse.

Two steps forward and one step back do not apply in life, i take three steps forward and slide down a staircase- each and every time.

Apologies, too all involved emotions are not in order, nor did i intend to disrespect the forum or its members.

Excuse my jumping in here... Speaking for myself, this does happen to me also. The question I pose for myself, (when that happens), is: Did I truly learn something? Or am I just fooling myself by attempting to appear to "fit in" to where I do not really belong?

Iconoclast: Perhaps reframing the question:
"Do psychopaths compete against one another?"

Is this what you are asking?

If so, why not? It is a free-will universe, or is it?

Is "Game Theory" being used in an STS world, where one (if
so chooses) fights to become "King of the Hill" or fights to
retain that "lofty" position in order to "lord" over their subjects?

Has human (STS) history shown this to be true?

FWIW,
Dan

Hi Steven James,

I guess this second excerpt might partly explain the first one.

I didn't find your post disgusting. There just seem to be a lot of struggle going on, which somehow is a good sign. Since no struggle might be a sign of total enslavement and total blindness.

Actually, I thought your posts prior to this one were kinda like song lyrics. :D

Everyone has a breakdown in the machine at some point, minor or major, but we all get them. No matter how many steps it takes you, at least you are making an effort. Each time you slide down a staircase, pause and reflect, check the lessons learned, and keep on.

Gimpy
who's slid down a few staircases
too, but learned from the experience.

no, i would like to know if it is possible for one psychopath to trick another psychopath into thinking he is 'normal' or if their built-in 'psycho-radar' makes identification unavoidable.

sorry, i can't really think of a way to formulate the question any clearer.

Hmmm... interesting question. Thing is, we don't know enough about "normal" psychopaths to know what their abilities are. Do they detect their own kind via "smell" or some visual cues? Or is it the voice? Or a look in the eye? Or is it something like "limbic resonance" as described by Martha Stout in her book "The Paranoia Switch"?

If we had some real idea about how they perceive the world - and we can't trust their self-reports because one of their chief characteristics is to lie or moment by moment "create" reality - we might be able to form a conjecture.

Perhaps we can infer some things from behavior and events observed by victims?

My guess, based on inference is that, no, a psychopath can't hide from another psychopath. That is just from reading a whole pile of cases both academic and journalistic investigations.

Now, if we could only figure out what it is that gives them away every time, we would know something.

[I hope this is not off topic, but expanding on the question originally posted]

Is it possible psychopaths may have telepathic abilities like our
2D friends, at least in weak form? Didn't the C's mention that
there are "varying degrees" between 2D and 3D? I also recall
that "like attracts like", but what exactly, that's the question,
and even so, do they even preserve their own kind for their
own sake or only when convenient when serving the self?

Many questions and not enough answers...
