Can I energetically feed off of myself?

I've been thinking about this for a couple of months now and don't think that it takes two people for the energetic feeding dynamic to ensue. Here are a couple examples that have led me to my theory:

Sometimes I stay up late at night reading and then feel awful in the morning if I didn't get enough sleep. I fed my mental center at the sacrifice of my physical center and this resulted in a loss of energy.

Sometimes I will feed my mental center by learning about the news and it causes my emotional center to experience such a great amount of sadness that my physical center responds with tears and anxiety, thus causing a loss in energy.

So, can I feed off of myself, thus feeding 4D STS? Thanks in advance for the input. :)

To me it seems like you are getting drained through certain activities since in both cases you mentioned a loss of energy. If you are feeding, you should feel more energetic rather than less - osit.

Yeah, I don't think "energetically feeding off of [oneself]" is really the correct nomenclature to describe this situation.

Scarlet, you might want to give this a read and see if it describes what you're observing:

I've done "youtube binges" where I get lost in the recommended videos page.

I too have had thoughts of this. I see what you are trying to say. I think that in a sense there is feeding going on. But it probably is better to term it draining, where you get none of the "food".

I think the predator's mind is a kind of mechanism that does this for whoever eats us, if anyone. It reminds me of automatic cow milker machines. FWIW.

Yeah, true, obyvatel, but I fed first and then got drained. I did both.

Thanks for the link, RyanX! It definitely relates to that and I remember thinking I must not have been working on myself properly at those times. I just also think there is something deeper to it, like what 3D Student posted.

Yeah and the sensitive and sick cows get it worse, I think. It's interesting that psychopaths don't feel the pain that we do and therefore might be drained less than we are...so I would think anyway...

Thanks for the tip Prometeo! I must keep strict with my bedtime routine, because lack of sleep is what throws everything off balance.

I tend to agree with Ryan. If you are not taking care of yourself in every way, you may consider that, upon awakening in the morning, each center has a set amount of energy available to get through the day (thus the teaching about energy conservation). Once a center is drained, it automatically pulls energy from another center (thus the teaching about the wrong work of centers).

I'm kind of curious why you would think there is something deeper to it than that. Does there need to be?

Hmm, no there doesn't need to be and I would prefer that there isn't. I guess I just want to know either way. I've often wondered if it's just my imagination thinking I must taste really good to 4D STS when I'm crying over something or feeling low on my own.

Hi scarlet,

Are you already practicing EE?, the meditation portion can immensely help you balance the centers and restore your energy levels.

One of the main things that drain us, is the unconscious direction of our attention.
Attention is energy, and it is continuously wasted in both internal and external circumstances.
We must work to be able to gather our attention and direct it consciously. And, to be able to gather and direct our attention, we must first try to remember ourselves, to be present.

So, it all boils down to do the work.

Just review the present day, how often your attention got lost?

Thanks for replying, Ana. I practice EE regularly, but have not attempted to do the meditation portion since I observed it was making me dizzy back in May. I think its been long enough now though that I have been feeling balanced so maybe it's time for me to give it another go. Thanks again for this tip and its inspired me to try the full program again tonight. :)

Ok, remember you can do it lying on bed, also don't forget about the importance of diet in regards to your overall health and energy levels, it can be life changing :)

Thanks Ana! I almost finished the EE program last night, but got so sleepy that I shut it off to sleep. I would like to note that I feel amazing today! I don't think I had any dreams where I was stressed out as I have been and this makes me feel really good! Also, I have purchased the Life without Bread book, but have been prioritizing reading psychopathy books over it. My diet is pretty consistent with what others are posting in that thread, but I know I need to read the book still. So, I think I will try to get through the whole EE program tonight and make an effort to read the book before I do. I just have to lay down a bit earlier than I did last night. Thanks again!!

Hi Scarlet.

I definetely have similar experiences to this.. and think the points about sleep and attention are extremely valid in and of themselves.

I also think the way you've described it could be quite important, in that while poor sleeping routines are going to have a very pronounced effect, more subtle transfers of emotional/mental/physical energy may be balancing/feeding of each other both during the day and night with their own unique relationships. It seems like having an understanding, or feeling how that occurs without pouring energy into to it could be quite a fruitful excercise.
