Firefox wants to download three a.aspx.files

This is the problem I am currently having with the Sott radio files. I started to listen to Saturday's show on Sunday and needed to stop after an hour, when I went back to it on Monday I had the bolded message above and have been unable to get any current or previous radio show since.

When I Google 'aspx files' for help it's recommended to use a PC cleaner to clean up my PC's registers. I was advised not to do this as most of them are scams, which I thought may be true as I tried one and after scanning (for free) the next step to FIX was for my credit card to pay for the fix.

Any thoughts on what the problem is and how I can fix it?

Thanks

One that is still really good for cleaning up your computer is advanced system care. It is free and although they have downgraded the free version it is still very useful. I have also used the payed version since it was downgraded and i reccomend it.

This has nothing to do with needing to "clean" the "system" (i.e. Windows installation). I'm not using Windows and I'm getting the same prompt to save three aspx files on each view. Though - perhaps due to a difference in the Firefox version, or a difference in the Linux version of Firefox - there's not one message, but instead three file saving dialogs pop up. And when all of these are canceled, the page can be used as usual.

aspx files are for ASP.NET scripting, used by Microsoft-based web servers. I have no experience of ASP.NET or Microsoft server software, and so do not know what the most likely error is. In any case, something is broken. Perhaps some configuration is wrong, or perhaps some files have been corrupted. As a result the files do not run as they should, and instead garbage (harmless but annoying) is sent to the browser. The 3 downloads are all blank, by the way - empty files.

Just an update on the problem I had with .aspx files.

Thanks for the info on Advanced System Care , Davey72, I did run the free version and it seemed to make my computer slightly faster, however I wasn't able to fix the aspx file problem.

After more trial and error options, I figured the problem was with Firefox, which Psalehesost mentioned as a problem he had - so thanks for that. Firefox gave me the option of restoring Firefox to basics, without losing all my personal info, bookmarks etc. Which I did and now I can access the radio programs as per normal.

Thanks for the help.
