Mr. William Makis is getting cancelled on the web it seems
Indeed. Here is a post from the moderator of the Fenbendazole- Cancer Support Group from a few days ago:

Important PSA about the CHARLATAN named William Makis.

I know many of you have heard of him, and perhaps trusted him as a good source of information and guidance regarding Fenben and IVM for cancer. Yet, he is not who he says he is and he is not trustworthy.

I have been warning people about Makis and that he’s a liar and a fraud for some time. I waited to discuss it here and now I’m glad I did because some new information recently came forth.

Looking back to when Makis hit the scene a few years ago … the “studies” he published brought hope and inspiration to the people interested in alternative methods for healing cancer. Unfortunately, those studies weren’t real and the studies he published have been “retracted” - which means that the study has been formally withdrawn from the scientific literature by the journal that published it because the findings are considered unreliable or invalid. Even though the paper may still be visible online, it is marked clearly as “RETRACTED.”

And there’s more to know about him …

He boldly went online a few years ago claiming to be an oncologist. He even was on X and other places boasting “I am the most popular oncologist on the internet!” This was a lie. Makis was never an oncologist. He was a radiologist working in an oncology clinic. Makis lost his license several years ago. He claimed it was all about his recommendations to use IVM during CVD. Again - another lie. He lost his license after an investigation that happened after a colleague filed formal complaints about inappropriate behavior towards them. It must have been pretty bad to have the medical board decide to revoke his medical license.

After Makis lost his license he went to the internet and pretended to have experience with alternative medicines for cancer. He claimed to be an oncologist. He published fake studies. He started offering “consultations” and protocols for a high price. He got a lot of attention and even appeared on Joe Rogan’s podcast. He fooled the world for a while.

Many people trusted he was an expert. Many people paid him a lot of money for a consultation - yet, he never met with these people. It was all by email. He started out charging $300 USD for his “consultations”. Later the price went up to $700 USD. I heard his consulting prices recently went even higher. Again - he never met with anyone. He sent everyone who paid him - a “protocol” that was pretty much the same for everyone. I have had many people send me what he sent them - this is how I know what he was sending people. I also heard from several people who were very upset with what happened, including one woman he was extremely rude to when she asked for more help with understanding what he sent to her.

I also suspect he stole a lot of the info on dosing and complimentary supplements, etc. from our previous group. We had found Makis in our old group - and none of us remembered approving him. He never said a word in the group. Once we realized he was there we removed him. Maybe it’s a coincidence - but our group was deleted for reasons we don’t understand not long after that.

Fast forward to now - the Canadian government issued a permanent injunction - restricting him from practicing medicine, prescribing or advising on use of medicines, offering health services (including online consulting services) or using protected medical titles - on March 4, 2026. This means he is barred permanently from saying he’s a doctor, prescribing anything, practicing medicine of any kind, offering and performing consulting services, or giving medical guidance of any kind.
He has recently removed all medical titles, and statements saying he offers consultations, from his social media accounts. Now he’s calling himself a “cancer researcher”.

You can read the details about the injunction here:
Statement: William (Viliam) Makis not licensed to practise medicine in Alberta (updated as of Mar. 2026) - College of Physicians & Surgeons of Alberta | CPSA

Makis had recently been saying he was going to set up a clinic here in the states. This is another lie. He is not licensed in Canada or in the USA. And even if he still had his license - he could not practice medicine in the states unless he became a resident and obtained a medical license in the USA. His claim that he’s licensed to practice medicine in Florida is a lie.

I have included several screenshots to show more details of what I have shared in this post.

Final message to you all - beware of frauds and scammers! Unfortunately the internet is a place where frauds and scammers thrive. It’s a very unregulated place and they know this. They can get away with more than they should! Makis ran to the internet to seek unsuspecting people desperate to be free of cancer. He preyed on their vulnerability and the fact that few people research or investigate, and that a title such as Doctor/Dr, MD or Oncologist quickly provokes trust in many people. Also, there are a number of fake accounts posing to be Makis on Facebook. The actual real Makis is not on Facebook. If you are in one of the “Makis” groups or on a “Makis” page - best to exit, as it’s not him, and although he is a fraud and scammer himself, so are the people pretending to be him!
