Can't escape 33!

Interresting thread ! I realize that I never got interested in numerology before today. It's time to fix this ! Does one of you could advise me a site or source of information about numerology ? Thanks !

There was a mention in a recent session on July 4th of Daniel Tammet.
Q: (A**) Will we have superpowers like this idiot savant guy... (Allen) He's not an idiot savant, just a savant. (A**) Okay, the savant guy... (C) Daniel Tammet.

A: Some will. That is much like 4D experience.

Q: (A**) So we'll be able to like feel and see numbers?

A: Hear colors...

Q: (A**) That's cool! (C) So does that mean that he's kind of an advanced person or...

A: Not necessarily advanced, but just the luck of the genes so to say. That sort of thing, and much else, is coded in many and now and then it activates.

Q: (A**) So, it was activated by his seizure? It did something to his brain?

A: Partly, yes.

Q: (A**) Cool, I want some of that man! (C) Yeah... (A*l) You want a seizure?! (A**) He can learn a language in a week!

A: So will you one day.

Q: (A**) I will?? I need that!

A: Patience pays.

Q: (C) Can similar abilities be gained by practicing?

A: Not really.
Regarding Daniel Tammet, I found an interesting quote out on the wikipedia regarding his subjective impression of numbers that seemed like it related to this thread.

_http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daniel_Tammet
Experiencing numbers as colours or sensations is a well-documented form of synaesthesia, but the detail and specificity of Tammet's mental imagery of numbers are unusual. In his mind, he says, each integer up to 10,000 has its own unique shape, colour, texture and feel. He can intuitively "see" results of calculations as synaesthetic landscapes without using conscious mental effort, and can "sense" whether a number is prime or composite. He has described his visual image of 289 as particularly ugly, 333 as particularly attractive, and pi as beautiful. The number 6 apparently has no distinct image.[1][2] Tammet has described 25 as energetic and the "kind of number you would invite to a party".[3] Tammet not only verbally describes these visions, but has also created artwork: including a watercolour painting of Pi.
Edit: Haha! FWIW, I just saw that this was my 133 post. Honest, I wasn't planning it that way!

Reading about Daniel Tammet's perception of numbers reminds me of how I used to experience numbers as a child (and for some reason grew out of it). I'm not in any way comparing myself to him, it just made me think of this:

Maybe it was only the by-product of an overactive imagination that needed to make arithmetic "interesting", but in my mind numbers had personalities and sometimes complex familial and social relationships. Whenever I worked with numbers in any way, I could not escape the "stories" that went with them. A brief example:

1 = The long-suffering mother of a family.
2 = Her mischievous young son who frequently got into trouble.
3 = The father of the family, rather stern and intimidating.
4 = The older sophisticated daughter of the family, very beautiful.
5 = A friend of the family who frequently showed up in a "helping" way.
6 = A slightly sinister next-door neighbour who had designs on 4.
7 = An older teacher, very elegant and wise.
8 = The local police officer, humourless and matter-of-fact.
9 = A very wicked and intelligent criminal that was constantly eluding 8.

And so on and so forth. For me, a line of arithmetic was not just something to "compute", but also a story, e.g:

(2 + 5) X 1 - 3 = 4 represented the following story: The mischievous young son of a family got himself into some kind of trouble yet again, but was extricated by a helpful family friend, who took him home to his mother. She urged them both to not tell the father about the incident, but severely scolded the boy urging him to be more like his well-behaved sister.

It makes me laugh to remember this. And, no, the "characters" did not in any way resemble my own family or situations in life, these were just "characters" and "stories" that seemed to go with the numbers....

Thanks for this PepperFritz. I'll have to mention it to my brother who teaches math. :)

Although I think it's just a fun game, I tend to think of people based on numbers in their month/day birthday. For instance, mine is 219. My oldest daughter is 77 and my youngest daughter is 115. Sometimes I'll think of families as their address house number. For instance, my parents is 818 and my childhood friend's family was 810. Sometimes seeing these numbers in different settings makes me think of that person or family. If anything it is a good way to remember birthdays and addresses.

Lately I've come to see the numbers 811 on clocks and elsewhere. Now, my home address house number is actually 811, so for the longest time I just thought of my family when I saw this number. Recently, I've been in touch with an old friend that I knew back in high school. I was kind of amazed when I found out her birthday was 811. So, now I have a couple of things to think about when I see those numbers. Like I said, I think it's a fun game and maybe there is some higher meaning to it all, but whatever that meaning is probably exists beyond the 3d experience - which I know I'm far from understanding yet.

When in college I took a calculus class that was based on power series. The class befuddled me more then a few times. But while studying one of these series I saw before me the patterns of music and octaves. Having also studied music theory at one point, this correlation was like a revelation at the time. The first time I saw the Universes language made manifest that I could see as tangible.

If I understand you correctly I guess you somehow ''experienced'' music through mathematics or numbers. That kind of reminds me of this:
(from this part of The Wave)

Another aspect of science that engages our Right hemisphere is art and music. The numerical structure of music is thought to be the direct link between art and science, and is thus a "conductor" for expression of direct experience into the active Left hemisphere. One can experience music directly, without any thinking or imagining or conceptualizing. And, at the same time, one is "experiencing" mathematics! No words can accurately and completely convey what something "sounds like." It is an act of direct perception.

This really is freaky feeling. I was up late last night and was reading this thread. I had just finished the Medusa 11 and doubling posts and and was a few posts down when I checked the time. It was 2:11 !! I swear! :)

For me, 33 always pops up as a first overt warning that I'm falling into confluence. Whenever I'm more active mentally, I barely notice it.

Well, atleast it seems that way.

Gaman!
Your last post was also your 33rd post! As was my first post on this topic!

Holy Moly, Batman! I never even thought to look at the number of posts!

Oxajil thanks for reminding of the quote from the Wave. I have always been a right brain-left brain kinda person. Our world is truely a facinating place.

how about this, today at 12:34 and 56sec i looked at my watch and then i realized today's date is 7/8/9
weird eh, in fact this happens once in hundreds of years still i decided not to give it much importance

When I first read this I was totally confused. I could not 'see' the 7/8/9. I finally realized that my mechanical mind was only allowing me to see the date one way, as 8/7/9. Then I was able to see it for what you were saying as 7th day of 8th month of 9th year.

I still can't make the connection to the time you stated, as my math comes out 34 every time. Can you clue me in on what I am missing here. Maybe I am over thinking this one.

Nothing special gwb
at that precise moment it was 123456789, I have finally reached the absolute and merged with divine !
- of course I am just kidding.

this was amusing curiosity as it happens very rarely, but I wouldn't read too much importance from it.
