Carcinoma-Help needed!

There are studies that implicate insulin in cancer. Stopping ALL intake of simple carbs is probably a good idea. Just meat and some veggies and things with low gylcemic index.

This is probably an area I need to engage in.
I have just returned from a 600km round trip to visit a Dermatologist in Orange, NSW, for the excision of several Basal Cell Carcinomas by means of Mohs' surgery (minimal invasion, and on-site pathology). These involved the face, ear and neck.
I have had quite a lot of these removed over the years, so it's not getting any better apparently. The Moh's procedure was successful on those that were attempted, but they discovered another one close to the one that was removed on the neck, but did not excise it because of the danger of stitches 'pulling'.

For the one in my ear (actually two adjacent ones) the treatment is really difficult due to the gristle in there, and my other ear had two grafts which failed, so I opted to do without grafting and the healing is to cover it with Medical Grade Manuka Honey and allow it to grow back naturally. The others were stitched inside and out.

While I had the usual painkillers and an antibiotic, the other interesting thing which they advised for me, is to take Vitamin B3, which is Nicotinamide, probably an ingredient you might find in cigarette smoke. Research has found that this substance is good in regressing the basal cell carcinomas among other benefits.

As an aside, while I was in Orange, I saw a van driving around which had "Usui Reiki" printed on its' side.

So anyway there I was, on the day after Halloween, walking around looking like 'the walking dead', swathed in bandages..

Sorry to hear about this, MusicMan.

Unfortunately, it is not as simple as insulin---> cancer.

Insulin is used as a scapegoat a lot I think. Studies show a correlation between high circulating insulin and various diseases, and so some people jump to the conclusion that insulin is therefore bad. They then look at what raises insulin (carbohydrate), and assume that limiting insulin is going to somehow solve the problem. High insulin is a symptom of some deeper fundamental issue with sugar metabolism. In and of itself, insulin is not a cause of illness.

We need insulin to recycle the body's main antioxidant - glutathione. Without insulin, antioxidant systems decline. So, again, it is important not to throw the baby out with the bathwater.

It is good that they recommended B3. One of B3's main actions is to suppress free fatty acids and increase metabolism of glucose. The proven track record of B3's in helping out in multiple different conditions runs somewhat opposite to the narrative that glucose metabolism is the "cause" for those illnesses. What dosage are you taking?

Hello Keyhole, the dosage of Vitamin B3 they have set me on is 500mg twice a day, which is quite high. Luckily for me, I can get this on prescription, which makes it somewhat cheaper. The brand name is INSOLAR, and it's produced by Blackmore's.
