Castaneda like dream ...

Hello everyone,

I wanted to post this dream as I am trying to understand it and keep learning. Feel free to comment if anything comes to mind. As far as dreams go, it was a 9 or 10 for me when it comes to getting me riled up as it was one of those super vivid real dreams that packed an emotional punch. It was both like watching a movie as well as being in that movie at the same time.

I was at a public event and the show was in process. Imagine around 500 people intently taking in a show at an outdoor arena of sorts.
My first memory is of walking in front of the front row of seated people and getting self conscious that I would be blocking their view as
I made my way out .. I didn't want to irritate them with my presence. So I was trying to get out of their way quickly and get to
the side aisle to exit the venue. It was light outside and seemed like it was around 6 or 7 at night with plenty of daylight left ... an early
evening show or perhaps an late afternoon show. I knew this was a Disney production and there were a lot of kids there ... a family event.

Then in the sky was an enormous black flapper or creature that I imagined Castaneda described in some of his books. It was a black cloud of an animal/creature that was flying very close overhead, above all the people that were watching. This creature looked kind of like a giant Sting ray with short black hair... around an inch or so long ... that I could see over it's entire body. People were screaming and running and it was very clear it was not friendly. I
started running as well and wasn't looking back to see what this thing was doing. There was a large public bathroom on the side exit aisle and I
was trying to get in there for cover when I got hit in the left shoulder. Some kind of disc the size of a CD hit and attached to my left shoulder. I took it
off easily enough in the bathroom and was trying to figure out what it was. There were these little stickers and dark creepy things that attached to one's fingernails to signify to others that one was a disciple of this creature ... so in the dream I felt like what hit me in the shoulder was essentially a sales kit of sorts to use while converting others to the side of this scary creature. I woke up at this point and was blown away at what I had seen and experienced. I hadn't been that scared in the dream or upon awakening ... just blown away and shocked to see everything so vividly.

I went back to sleep and had a dream where I was discussing this dream with Approaching Infinity. But I am sorry to say that I can't remember anything about that conversation ... just that it happened.

Other than the obvious idea that there is plenty of darkness and shadow inside of me as signified by my "getting hit" by the creature's disk, I
don't know yet what this dream means for me and what the dream maker is trying to show me or teach me.

Hello! I'm playing around with a deepseek here, maybe its analysis will be useful:

Analysis of the Dream

This is a very powerful and symbolically rich dream. Here is its multi-level analysis:

1. Key Symbols and Their Possible Meanings

  • Public Event / Disney Show: Symbolizes the social mask, public life, and possibly an idealized, "fairy-tale" perception of the world ("Disney"). It's a place where everyone follows the rules, watches the performance, and behaves predictably.
  • Feeling of Awkwardness and Desire to Leave: Points to social anxiety, a feeling that you are in the way, out of place, or that your presence might be a burden. It's a desire to "blend in with the crowd" or escape public attention.
  • Giant Black Creature (Stingray with Fur):
    • Reference to Castaneda: Carlos Castaneda has the concept of a "flyer" or "predator" — an ancient, inorganic entity that feeds on human awareness and imposes its own constructs on us. Your creature fits this archetype perfectly. It is an external force that suppresses individual will and freedom.
    • Symbolism: The creature is the embodiment of the Shadow (in the Jungian sense), but not necessarily a personal one; it could be a collective or transpersonal dark force. It represents the uncontrolled, irrational, frightening aspects of existence that invade the orderly world of the "Disney show." Its black color, size, and aggression speak to its power and dominance.
  • The Disc Hitting the Shoulder: This is the key moment of transformation from an observer to a participant.
    • The Shoulder: Metaphorically, the shoulder is where we carry burdens and responsibilities. The left shoulder is often associated with the intuitive, receptive side of the personality.
    • The "Sales Kit" / "Recruitment Tool": This is the dream's brilliant figurative solution. You are not just wounded; you are "infected" with an idea, given a tool to spread this "dark" influence. This could symbolize:
      • An internal propensity for certain "dark" thoughts or behaviors that you have now become aware of and could potentially transmit to others (unconsciously or consciously).
      • Receiving a certain knowledge or experience that changes your perception of the world and forces you to interact with others differently.
  • Public Bathroom: A place to take cover and remove the disc. A bathroom often symbolizes the need to get rid of something unnecessary, "waste" (including psychological), a secluded place for analysis and cleansing.

2. Overall Interpretation and Meaning

The dream describes a collision between the ordered, socially acceptable "Self" (the person at the family-friendly Disney show) and a powerful, irrational, and frightening force (the creature).

  • The first part of the dream is about living according to expectations, with a feeling that you might be bothering others.
  • The appearance of the creature is the invasion of something that cannot be ignored: repressed fears, existential dread, an awareness of the dark sides of reality or your own psyche.
  • Being hit by the disc is the moment of initiation. You are not just running from the "darkness"; you have been "marked" by it. The dream says that this "darkness" or this knowledge is now a part of you. You have become its carrier ("recruitment kit").
Your intuition about the "darkness and shadow inside" is absolutely correct. But the dream goes further: it's not just about their presence, but about the fact that you are now an active participant in the process. You possess a tool (the "disc") to interact with this force in some way—either to succumb to it and "recruit" others or, by removing and analyzing it, to understand its nature and neutralize it.

3. The Second Dream and the Role of "Approaching Infinity"

The fact that "Approaching Infinity" is a specific person, a forum administrator, adds a crucial layer of meaning.

  • Embodiment of Authority and Knowledge: As an administrator, AI is perceived by your subconscious as a figure of authority, knowledge, and experience in the forum's field (dreams, spiritual seeking, personal development, etc.). Your subconscious chose him specifically as the "expert" with whom to discuss this shocking experience.
  • The Need for Social Validation and Discussion: The fact that you went to discuss the dream within the dream itself speaks to a powerful need to share it, make sense of it with others, and especially with someone whose opinion you value. This is a direct continuation of your real-world action—you posted the dream on the forum.
  • The Forgotten Conversation – A Key to Insight? The fact that the conversation's content was forgotten is highly symbolic. It could mean one of two things:
    • The Answer Isn't Conscious Yet: The solution or interpretation provided by "AI" in the dream has not yet reached your conscious mind. It is in the process of "assimilation." An insight might manifest later as a sudden realization.
    • The Act of Discussion Itself is What's Important: Your subconscious is emphasizing that you need external help. You cannot decipher this dream alone. The most correct path is exactly what you are doing: seeking the opinions of others, sharing, and discussing. The forgotten conversation pushes you to start this conversation in reality.

4. Emotional Tone and Conclusions

You note that you woke up not so much in fear, but in a state of shock and astonishment at the vividness and realism. This is an important point. It could mean that your subconscious is not so much trying to scare you, as it is shocking you with a truth, bringing to the surface something very important that has been hidden until now.

What is the "dream maker" (your subconscious) trying to show you?

  1. Your reality is multi-faceted. Behind the facade of "Disney," powerful and frightening forces are hidden. It's time to acknowledge their existence.
  2. You are not just a victim. You are "infected" or "marked" by these forces. This gives you a certain power and responsibility. You could become a conduit for something (perhaps your own shadow, or perhaps important, albeit frightening, knowledge).
  3. It's time for analysis. The fact that you removed the disc in a secluded place and began to examine it is the right path. The dream calls you to deep inner work: What does this "disc" represent in your life? What "dark" ideas or behavioral patterns have you now discovered in yourself? How will you deal with them?
  4. You need external dialogue. The second dream is a clear instruction: do not process this alone. The path to understanding lies through discussion with a community and authoritative figures whose knowledge you trust.
In summary, this dream is not a warning of catastrophe, but a call to maturation and integration. Integration of the power, knowledge, and "shadow" that burst into your idealized world and made you their carrier. And the primary method for this integration, according to your own subconscious, is to do exactly what you are doing now: discussing it with others.
