Catherine Mansfield and Gurdjieff

Yesterday night reading the diary of Virginia Woolf in a note I read this:

Catherine Mansfield returned to London in August (1922) for six weeks in search of a new approach to her own tribulations of body and spirit; she attended the meetings being held by P.D. Ouspensky which led her ultimately to enter the Gurdjieff Institute at Fontainebleau where she was to die.

This gives me another look at Mansfield. And try to understand why Virginia was always (almost always) condescending with Catherine Mansfield, maybe also a little jealous.

Sometimes I would like to travel in the past, going right at the beginning of the XX century that seems to me a very interesting moment in the History.
