I posted a link explaining that Oats per se, do not naturally contain Gluten; however, they do contain a protein called Avenin, which have the same properties as Gluten and could irritate people who have Gluten sensitivity. I agree that it is a short term fix, however, if someone doesn't have a lot of sensitivity, it's a good way to "release" what is stuck quickly. It's always good to find ways in general in which to eat properly daily, so that the organism runs smoothly in the long run.
