Loved the video! Especially liked the end when everybody bailed out on dishes. Hubby wasn't able to get to the store for dates or flour for this. If we can get dug out by this weekend we might try the recipe.

That's the only part of the video that we staged... it was fun!

T hank you for this recipe Laura
Can't wait to try it.
Sounds delicious. I'm waiting on delivery for my buckwheat flour
Loved the video. Well Done....
.

I just made the date bread and all I can say is "mmm, mmm good"! I thought I was doomed to failure after my buckwheat pancake debacle and several other less than stellar desserts I've tried.

Yummy-ness. :)

Thank you Laura for the recipe!

I've just tried it with a little variant today. Since I can't find dates at this time of the year in the local grocers, I've substituted it with raisins and pecans. And use coconut palm sugar for the sweetness. Hubby and kids totally loved it!!

Mmmm....Yummy :)

Thanks for the video Laura, always a treat to see you in person! Looking forward to trying the recipe, seems to be a shortage of buckwheat flour for some time in my neck of the woods.

That sounds like a wonderful variation! I've got some currants and raisins that I'm going to use in one tomorrow with half dates, too. My next experiment with this one is going to be shredded apples and carrots together. It's a good, basic recipe that I think can be used a number of ways. And it makes WONDERFUL muffins!

In my family we do a shredded apples and carrots salad as a snack.

Ingredients: 600 g carrots | 3 apples | 4 tsp lemon juice | sprinkle with xylitol. Those are the basic ingredients. Also good to add walnuts, raisins and shredded coconut depends on preference/alergies.

Preparation: Grate apples and carrots, add lemon juice and sprinkle with xylitol, alternatively add shredded coconut, nuts, raisins. Recommended to let stand for an hour.

Hi Laura and all, I couldn't find any discussion about this but I wanted to say that I saw the new video Healing with Food - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SLQqhj1g9Fw and I thought that it was very well done and informative and it was good to hear from your assistants also. ;) But in the first video there are some disturbances in the quality and the picture looks like it is throbbing or getting blurry every second or so. I think the other 3 are fine though. Thanks for the videos. :)

I've just watched the videos. Very clear and well explained. I'm a little confused though about meat. My blood group is A+ and I thought it was harmful for us.

Well done on the new video!

Lots of information delivered in an easy to understand and not overwhelming way...laid out the massive toxicity issue and more without leaving the audience feeling hopeless, I thought. Thanks for all the hard work over there at the castle!

As can eat meat: chicken, turkey, fish.

Keep in mind that the three people in the video are all type Os! But, as we go along, I'll make distinctions.

Just finished watching all of the parts of the video, I look forward to the following ones with great interest. :) Great work, Laura.

Meanwhile, I'm still searching for the pastry solution - pure buckwheat is next on my list. :)

I noticed the throbbing every few seconds too. Sounds like an encoding issue. For some reason, the YouTube encoders didn't like the first video. Also, curious as to why the video is small. It's smaller than the minimum YouTube size, which is (640x)360p. I would've thought YouTube would try to stretch the video out to fill the frame, but instead there are bounding boxes on the sides and the top and bottom. Are the videos being uploaded really that small or is YouTube just being persnickity?

Fickle YouTube aside, you guys look great! I don't know of anyone else who can talk for 40 minutes without fumbling or going off track, while still being informative and entertaining, and that's exactly what is achieved here. These cooking videos are turning out really well. :)

Understood, thank you.
