And Americans still do not realize that they live in a Police State? Unbelievable!

Over 5,000 people have been killed in the US by police - more than the number of US soldiers that have fallen during the Iraq war over the last 10 years. The figure seems to reflect the increased militarization of police and, shockingly, means that you are 29 times more likely to be killed by a police officer than by a terrorist. We discuss the figures in this Buzzsaw news clip with Tyrel Ventura and Tabetha Wallace.

I thought of all the potentially humanitarian uses for this piece of technology ("Range-R" manufactured by L3 Communications) and was disappointed to see that the police seem to be it's main customers.

It's pretty clear I think that we're not dealing with a few bad apples here! And it's frustrating to see that many police officers get away with what they do. Just as the US government and people like Hillary got away with their Iraq invasion, with thousands of dead soldiers and many more dead civilians as a result. If only more people would notice that something is really, really wrong. Yet most of them think that 'change' will come once the new president is elected, it's sad. At least some people are starting to notice things, and are really helping to spread awareness on police brutality and violence, and that's a good thing I think.

That's crazy. People don't have any privacy anymore. I'd think that, considering that police violence has increased so much, even using the Range-R, they can still raid the wrong house, kill the owner, etc. as they have done before. I agree with you, it would have been a good tool to help people, in case of earthquakes for example, as it could be used to see whether there are any people trapped inside of a house that is partly collapsed.
