Creative update: "The Last Page" and "The Wave"

But, I have to hand it to you, "God's People" is just spot-on. :clap:

Okay, they both are spot-on and are showing just what is happening in the world today. So :rockon:
 
They are both great - I especially like the person actually looking down as they walk into the abyss. ;)
 
Hello everyone,

Taking inspiration from SOTT's motto "the lighthouse", i created a picture which i would like to share with you. A lighthouse made of books showing the way on a stormy sunset... I hope you enjoy it! The resolution is 1920 by 1050 pixels.

nice work spyraal!! i really like this one... :thup: the waves came out really nice too... any significance to the pattern of the windows on the lighthouse that are lit?

Spyraal, that is amazing! What hit me the most was to see that tiny little lighted doorway in contrast to the immensity and swell of that ocean... :/ :cry:

Not really! ;) What took me the most time was to get a nice mood and ambiance. I have made quite a few other versions until i settled with this one! I thought of adding some people also...
If anyone has suggestions and ideas for any additions please feel welcomed to propose.

Lovely piece of art spyraal.
I particularly like the cass sculpture, and the fact the lighthouse is made out of books!!

Well you've got my mind going on this, to the point where I think maybe it should stay as it is and any alterations.....I feel inspired to make my own :)
The only thing that you might want to try is making the sun redder/lower, and the contrast between the dark and light a bit greater?
But its just my take on it :)

On a side note, its actually quite inspiring having it as my backdrop!

*edit* actually, what about having the constellation of Cassiopeia poking through the clouds?

I will post a "darker" version with greater contrast that i think comes close to what you suggest. The possibilities are endless and fun to explore! Let alone that this image is just a "2D snapshot" because it is actually created in full 3D and the camera can move to any point of view and perspective... ;) Thank you RedFox!

I'm curiouse to know what program its made in? 3dsmax perhaps?

Perhaps (if its not too much work) you could make an animated version? :)

Either way I look forward to more of your work, and am feeling inspired to make my own art. Something I haven't done for years now.

Hello everyone,

Here is an updated version of a past image i created, meant for our new artistic blog "the Artchemical Matter" (_http://artchemicalmatter.wordpress.com). I thought i should post it here also, until our blog "heat's up" when i will probably post my pictures directly there so as to save some "space" on this forum which so kindly gave hospitality to my creations.
