And he was SOOO wrong. Diocletian was defamed by Constantine and Eusebius and Lactantius. He was probably one of the most talented and energetic emperors Rome ever had.

What you see above is the tendency to "astralize" the ancient observations and writings that were, at the time they were made, about real objects in the sky.

I think Laura is referring to the phenomenon Clube & Napier talk about in Cosmic Winter: After the heavens quietened down following a period of high activity, past references to cometary objects in the skies got re-applied to simple stars and planets, i.e. objects that pose no threat to earth.

I am also most excited about reading Horns of Moses, at least, for now the first volume as soon as it comes out but as others pointed out, there's always good material out there which we haven't read yet. Learning never stops! Alas, the fun never stops.
I can only speculate that the reason Taurus appears the opposite way around is maybe it would appear that way to objects or entities approaching the earth. Rather than the way we see things from earth? FWIW
