Curious Google Maps Image

I came across this image in google maps and thought it was interesting. Nothing profound, just "a moment in time". The satellite captures an airplane flying overhead. Notice that the different colors of the image are captured at slightly different times and/or angles and so the airplane looks to be in three (slightly) different places in three colors.

Ha, interesting!

It looks like the satellite captures images with a very slight delay between R G and B channels. How unusual.

CCD cameras use a rotating wheel of color filters and then the three images (through a red, blue, and green) are combined numerically afterwards. In this case, it is possible that such a system was in use and that the plane has been faster than the rotating pace of the filters :)

May be the moisture on the plane creating rainbow effect and the satellite camera trying to adjust the focus at the same time with the static image.
 
Nice find !
But apart from being a nice photo , it gave me an idea of how something can exist in few places at the same time.
A lot to think about.
