Daily Routine/s and Order (For Learning and Healing)

The Living Force
I grew up away from my immediate family and culture of birth as a first generation, so I didn't really adopt many of their routines, customs, and daily habits firmly.

My son is 32 months old now. I'm reflecting on daily routines and household order that are better for learning and healing in these times.

Everyone and every situation is different. I'm curious about what may work better for us.

What routines or daily habits helped you when you had a 7 year old or younger at home, if you're a parent too?

Even if you are not a parent, what routines or daily habits help you heal and learn?

Polly Berends wrote a book in the 70's about 'raising' children. It is inexpensive (used) in the US. One bookseller's description is:
For more than two decades, Whole Child/Whole Parent, the first spiritually oriented book on parenthood and the first to address the value of parenthood for the parent as well as for the child, has provided a sound, practical, psychological and spiritual footing for parenthood and family life.
It is the perfect guide "not merely for parents who want to raise their children in the best manner possible, it is for all people, including adults who want to raise themselves." (M. Scott Peck, from the foreword).

Whether exploring love and discipline or bedtime and storybook reading, Berends shows the practical relevance of spiritual insights to the most ordinary parental tasks.
It is back in print as a fourth edition. I only read the original edition. I read it decades after I should have, but still learned much from it.
