Darryl Issa cuts off Mic and Walks Out on Democrat Cummings at IRS Hearing

Committee Chairman Darryl Issa's fantasy world of mass Obama conspiracies is caving in. Reality is beginning to set in. With Sunday's unexpected grilling by Fox News, Darryl Issa is getting particularly surly. He had announced on the show IRS Official Lois Lerner would testify and not take the 5th Amendment. Instead,today Mrs. Lerner invoked the 5th Amendment again during Issa's IRS hearings.

Here he cuts off House Minority Ranking Member Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-MD) as he tried to make a point about the proceedings. - and walks out.

Rep. Issa is a piece of work. Without bothering to look it up, I recall that he allegedly stole a car when he was young, and he made his fortune selling radar detectors and gaining control of the companies that made them, perhaps at times by not entirely aboveboard means. He's a reich-wing ideologue of the first order, and he was involved in defense contracting scams that put other people in prison, but somehow he skated. He's a thoroughly objectionable arsehole politician, but he's safe in his district.
