Do you know any charity organizations working in Syria?

Do you guys have any suggestions what could be charity organizations, mainly active in Syria, that would be interesting donating to? I don’t like the idea of wasting money by adding it to the ever same organizations, that everyone is so convinced of, because they’re Oscar-worthy. It is really hard to find really independently working organizations. I came across “Clowns without borders” in a documentary on RT but I thought there must be more organizations working on the ground. It is the least I can do at the moment to find the balance between being grateful for many things in my life and not going crazy over the storyline behind the news.

From your profile I gathered that you are German so maybe the Lutheran World Relief might be your first choice ?

I was looking last year and I couldn't find anything near where I live, but churches usually have such duties. My son's school was collecting toys and clothes and school materials so we donated through them.
 
From my perspective the best and safest way to support the syrians at this point, is through the russians, since it has become quite clear over the years, that if you try to spend money through the usual western channels, it has a hard time even getting there, or worse, is being used for something else all together and often for nefarious things.

So I would search for something that supports the efforts in syria from the russians (that is, the russian government and departments that are for that purpose).

Did a quick search and found this for example:

Theoretically one could ask there, where one could donate, although I think they mainly focus on russian request, since it is for the russians.

I think it could be donated to an official government organ in russia as well, that takes care of Syria aid and the campaign there. I couldn't find anything more concrete, maybe some russian speakers here could have a look where one could donate?
 
As far as I know there are barely any charity organizations working in Syria at the moment. Besides most of these "charity" and "humanitarian" organizations which operate world-wide are nothing else than a cover for secret services and different NGOs with their own agenda which is far away from helping people in need.

Asking Russian Foreign Ministry as Pashalis suggested might be a good idea.
 
I think the direct help is most efficient. But it's somewhat hard to send money directly to those who need help. Charity organisations very often put the lion's share to their own pocket...

Thank you so much everyone. That are some interesting suggestions I will follow up.
 
If you have spare time you can make your own charity organization. I was looking for my country, we have something called state affair office in local county's pages where you need to fill the form to register and there you see what else is needed. So you might have something like that in your country.
 
Another possibility is the Monastery of Mar Yakub, they provide much help for Syrians in Qara and other places in Syria (See here). They organize medical supplies, food, and clothing from the trucks so that it can be distributed accordingly. They also offer jobs to people and help sell the products they make, and they also provide meals.
