Three M ≥ 6 earthquakes occurred in the last 24 hours (M6.1, M6.6 & M7.7) and one major aftershock (M6.4)

The Earthquake Observation Division of Thailand (TMD) recorded M7.7 earthquake as M8.2 followed by an aftershock of M7.1

Seismic station in Chiang Mai, Thailand recorded the following seismogram:



The M7.7 earthquake had at least 4 seconds of strong intensity.

These images remind me of the images of the earthquake in Haiti in 2010, everything on the ground, everything destroyed, I am sure there will be many deaths. In Haiti, there were 280,000 deaths.

They still have internal conflicts after the coup d'état in 2021 that have not been resolved. On the one hand the National Unity Government of Myanmar calls on factions to halt military operations for 2 weeks due the 7.7 earthquake and on the other hand there are reports such as these, so yes, the number will increase considerably.

A convergence of lunar geometry on 28 March can result in a larger seismic event around the 30th. A quadruple conjunction with Earth, Venus, Mercury and Neptune will likely result in clustering of stronger tremors in the next two days.

Earth stays in close conjunction with Venus and Mercury from approximately 10 March to 12 April. This can result in some stronger seismic activity above average. See explanation.

This day not only the eclipse occurred (Earth Moon, Sun) but also the planetary geometry Mercury, Earth, Mars and in a few hours the geometry Earth, Mercury, Neptune will occur. On March 31 Venus will be incorporated. As we have seen in other occasions, the presence of Mercury and/or Venus increases the possibility of a significant event. We are also waiting for responses to the Hindu Kush region and the eastern Mediterranean on the one hand and the Pacific on the other (Japan, Taiwan, Philippines, Indonesia region, Fiji Islands region)

SSGEOS forecasts a probability of 80% for events between M5.5 and M6.4 and 50% - 60% for events greater than or equal to M7+.

Analyst Jesús Ramos mentions that an antipodal response could be expected in northern Chile with the same magnitude 7+ that occurred in Burma, while for Mexico between Michoacan and Guerrero an M5+ earthquake could occur and in the worst case M6.5​

No aftershocks have been recorded so far.. March has been a very active month.

The M7.0 earthquake occurred after the planetary geometries Mercury, Earth, Mars and Earth, Mercury, Neptune. A significant westward event is still possible in the Hindu Kush region or the eastern Mediterranean. The event in Tonga also increases the possibility of another significant event in Central America and northern South America. In a few hours will occur the critical planetary geometry Mercury, Venus, Mars. Let's wait and see.

Myanmar-Thailand earthquake updates: 1,700 killed, aftershocks cause panic​

• The search for survivors continues in Myanmar, where some 1,700 people have been confirmed dead after a magnitude 7.7 earthquake struck on Friday.
• At least 17 more deaths have been reported in neighbouring Thailand’s capital Bangkok, some 1,000km (620 miles) from the epicentre of the quake.
• The quake destroyed buildings, bridges and roads across swaths of Myanmar. Many believe the true scale of the disaster has yet to emerge due to patchy communications in remote areas.
• Myanmar is already in chaos due to a civil war that has escalated since a 2021 military coup, which toppled the elected government of Nobel laureate Aung San Suu Kyi and sparked a nationwide armed uprising.
• Opposition forces have declared a unilateral two-week ceasefire in fighting with the ruling military government, saying “defence operations” are excluded from this.
