Easter Weekend

Buddy

The Living Force
My wife's family is having a big get-together about 100 miles south of us this Easter weekend. So, out of consideration for my wife (who needs a serious vacation) we'll be leaving to go spend Saturday and Sunday with them.

For any one else who is traveling the roads or airways to visit family or whatever, be safe and I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! :)

Have a nice Easter, Bud! I also hope that anyone else who has to travel will be okay, especially with all the bad vibes going around. Keep safe and keep learning! :)

Ditto Bud, drive safe! I'd completely forgotten this was the Easter weekend holiday. Isn't that the one where they bury jesus in a tomb, wait three days, then role back the stone, and if he emerges and sees his shadow, we get 6 more weeks of winter? ;)

I don't remember :halo:. I think other people say it has something to do with the J-man, though :P.

No, I'm fairly certain it's the 'holiday' where they celebrate the torture of jesus in order to feel better about their own support of torture in order to support their lifestyle.

Since we're on the subject, has anyone ever found it curious that the 'ascension' is the defining characteristic of traditional Christianity, but it's the 'torture on the cross' symbol that is kept in everybody's face? Or am I the only one who thinks that strange?

I sometimes suspect that this symbology was the final stab by Jesus' enemies after the fact, where they did their best to shape his image in cultural memory. I mean, if you really hate someone, wouldn't it be great revenge to make sure that the lasting impression of that person was of them hanging on a cross, even if it wasn't historically accurate?

Have a great time with your wife and her family, Bud, and be safe :)

Plus the eggs.

"their own support of torture"reminds me of Gurdjieff

One thing alone is certain, that man's slavery grows and increases.
Man is becoming a willing slave. He no longer needs chains.
He begins to grow fond of his slavery, to be proud of it.
And this is the most terrible thing that can happen to a man.

I think that people actualy torture themselves all life (essence and personality when false personality prevail),they torture what is real in themselves.
They are now saved and they feel better becouse of this, easter and all this stuff just proves how people are narcisstic and how mechanical they are.

What a hoot!!

I'll admit reading everybody's Facebook comments this morning Re: Easter is kind of nauseating. My husband got up this morning and said, "where's my candy?" and I told him the Easter Beagle forgot to stop here!

I was thinking that Foghorn Leghorn ought to be the symbol of the Western Easter.

I'm catching up on laundry, the rest of the gang are doing EE and trying to generate some positive energy to get us through this rough patch, Ark is vacuuming, and we all had two or three natural chocolate eggs from the health food store as a treat. I think they were laid by a rabbit.
