This is the Poetry of reality or the reality made Poetry.
As well understood and easily penetrate the two: internal and external, they also in this way, the essentials are attracted, assimilated and understood more easily by people with little superficial or intelectual capacity.
This is the power of Poetry as a great unifier of realities.

Caballero, I don't understand when you say: "assimilated and understood more easily by people with little superficial or intelectual capacity" Do you mean that he is a poet for people that are not aware of what is happening in this planet? Or that his poetry is for people with no education (university?)

I think Galeano is a poet and everyone, from everywhere, can feel his words. He is a poet that poetize life as it is, with magnificent images that gives you an understanding at the core of the sufferance of this humanity.

I agree with you.

He is a great poet. Precisely be understood by all audiences, both the person with little intelectual capacity can feel and understand his words as a person with great culture this is his great achievement. Maby I did not write my concepts correctly, that's the reason I do not participate in the expression of long and complicated concepts in the forum. I really liked his poetry, thanks for making it known.

“Each person shines with his or her own light. No two flames are alike. There are big flames and little flames, flames of every color. Some people’s flames are so still they don’t even flicker in the wind, while others have wild flames that fill the air with sparks. Some foolish flames neither burn nor shed light, but others blaze with life so fiercely that you can’t look at them without blinking, and if you approach you shine in the fire.”

RIP

A great writer died today. He was a very special writer, for me. I can compare him to Saramago, or St-Exupéry. Some men, or women, come here in the earth to give something special, something more, like if they were light beings. Saramago was one of this beings, and Galeano also. When I listen Galeano I always have tears in my eyes, when he talks about life and death, joy and sadness, it is always very, very beautiful. He was a great poet.

He also wrote history. The only one I read was "Open Veins of Latin America" about its exploitation by the Empire. I haven't read it in decades but I think I still have it somewhere.

Here is video where Galeano talks about fear and life an others things that you will like. Very beautiful. With English sub-titles.
