I think she may be a bit too pessimistic regarding Trump, his intentions and what he might achieve. The presidential election is more than a "dead end", even if Trump ends up having to go along with some of the globalist agendas again.

I wouldn’t say Catherine Austin F. Is pessimistic ever. She is just realistic and firmly grounded - and reality is pretty grim at the moment.

Trump announces former Gov. Mike Huckabee nominated as ambassador to Israel

Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee has been nominated to serve as the US ambassador to Israel, President-elect Donald Trump said in a statement on Tuesday afternoon.

“Mike has been a great public servant, governor, and leader in faith for many years. He loves Israel and the people of Israel, and likewise, the people of Israel love him,’ Trump said. “Mike will work tirelessly to bring about peace in the Middle East!”

Huckabee is a former Southern Baptist pastor and a former Trump challenger who ran in the 2016 presidential election.

Israel’s Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben-Gvir, reacted to the news on X, posting “Mike Huckabee” with an American flag, a heart, and an Israeli flag.

...The next U.S. ambassador to Israel will be Mike Huckabee, the former governor of Arkansas who ran twice in the Republican presidential primaries for the presidency, President-elect Donald Trump announced Tuesday. Huckabee will replace Jack Lew, who was appointed by President Joe Biden.

Huckabee ran in the 2008 Republican primaries and lost to John McCain, and eight years later lost to Trump. Huckabee is identified with the evangelical Christian right in the United States, and defines himself as a great supporter of Israel. He is an evangelical minister by training, and served as a political commentator on the right-wing Fox News.

In 2015, while running for the Republican Party's presidential nomination, Huckabee visited the ancient West Bank site of Shiloh, the site of the biblical tabernacle. "Judea and Samaria are an inseparable part of the State of Israel and everyone needs to understand that. Anyone running for the presidency of the United States should visit here," he said while at Shiloh, using the biblical designations for the West Bank.

In an interview with Ynet at the time he said that "Israel needs to control Judea and Samaria". He said, among other things, that Jewish settlement is "a factor leading to regional peace."

Shortly thereafter, Trump announced that his envoy to the Middle East would be Jewish-American real estate magnate Steve Witkoff. Witkoff is Trump's golfing partner, and was by his side during his second assassination attempt, in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Huckabee calls Israel an "ally", "America's greatest friend in the region", and says Israel should have access to advanced weapons and technology. He is a Christian Zionist politician, and has written that, "the Jews have a God-given right to reclaim land given to their ancestors and taken away from them."

Huckabee opposes the notion of Palestinian statehood in the Holy Land, and has stated that he supports creating a Palestinian state outside of Israeli territory. He named Egypt and Saudi Arabia as possible locations to move the country. Huckabee encourages West Bank settlements which are illegal under international law, and has gone so far as to deny Israel's existing military occupation in the region. In 2017, at an event in the West Bank, he stated: "There is no such thing as a West Bank - it's Judea and Samaria. There's no such thing as a settlement. They're communities. They're neighborhoods. They're cities. There's no such thing as an occupation."

Huckabee first visited Israel as a teenager, and has returned numerous times since then. During some of his visits he expressed his support for Israeli settlements in the Israeli-occupied West Bank, stating that Jews "should be able to live in their own country."

He has advocated for the release of convicted Israeli spy Jonathan Pollard.

Even before the President-elect picked Mike Huckabee to be his Israel envoy, far-right minister Bezalel Smotrich and other post-election partygoers in Israel were openly talking about Trump's second term as an opportunity to permanently 'take the land' from Palestinians

It seems to me that the US Envoy to Israel will serve as a duplicate of Israeli Envoy to the US: instead of representing US interests in Israel, he will present Israeli interests to the US. Real estate magnate picked for a diplomatic mission to the ME also sounds suspicious, given the well known commercial plans for Gaza, WB and Lebanon.

Re Patel, maybe this was too scary to the swamp to start with? If Patel can stay close in Trump's orbit, he may still have some influence. If Ratcliffe doesn't play nice he could be gone with Patel waiting in the wings.

While I agree with most of her views, I do think that she is too pessimitic regarding Trump and his intentions - as I said in the other thread, she thinks that he staged the first assassination attempt.
