FB share button on sott page not working?

It's showing up for me on that article.

Facebook was acting up on me yesterday though, so it would seem to be a problem at their end.

I haven't been able to share articles directly from the sott page to fb for a while now (several days). It lets me 'like' them on sott, but then they never show up on my fb page. fwiw.

I haven't been able to "like" anyone else's posts on FB today. It tells me "an error has occurred. Please try again in a few minutes."

This has been happening to me as well.

I too seem to either have delaying problems with FB postings now - where 2 to 3 shares all come up at the same time about 30 minutes later. Also they are less effective that way and any comments I write dont show. Or nothing gets shared at all.

Is this just our Sott site? Before there just had to be one FB share buttone now there is the like or share button - if they appear at all on articles.

It's not just Sott. When I have trouble, it's actually directly on my Facebook page. Sometimes it won't post articles, or it posts it and then immediately disappears, and other general wonkiness.

My guess is that Facebook drank too much eggnog. And it's not even Christmas yet!

I think its on fb's end also. For quite some time now anytime I 'liked' a Sott article it would open up the fb logon box but as soon as I signed in the box would disappear and never post the article to my wall. It's like fb rejected it or something. They're always doing something to make the experience worse anyway.

The sott articles I like and comment on still don't show up on my fb feed, so I have to copy and paste the links in by hand to share them - very annoying and it's been going on for over a month now. I can't be the only one who has this issue which makes me think that sott articles aren't getting shared as much as they could be.

Facebook deciding what you can share and not share was supposed to be one of their outstanding "improvements". At least that was the gist of it if you read between the lines.

So, I can't say I'm terribly surprised. We also can't do much about it... except maybe to use Google+ more.

And again today, I had trouble getting my FB page to load. Had to refresh a couple of times. Along with the "how's it going" and the "we're going to censor whomever we want unless they pay us money" thing, I really wonder what else they are preparing for the new year.
