Finding Fulcanelli Books

A Disturbance in the Force
Any tips on finding the two books by Fulcanelli that's on the reading list? Difficult to find....
 
I'm having a hard time locating the two books by Fulcanelli since they aren't being published. I was told they'd be very expensive to purchase if I did find one. And there's several versions of his books. I contacted QFG and they didn't have them. I've phoned every book dealer in my area. No one seems to carry them.

And looking there now, I've just picked up a 1971 Spearman edition of Mystery of the Cathedrals in very good condition, with a very good dustjacket for 80 bucks. That isn't expensive, it's an investment.

I found a copy on Amazon. Sometimes there are used books for sale.
 
Jonjan, I deleted your repeat post on this topic. I purchased my copies of these books through amazon.com and then through an antiquarian book store in MA - Mysteries of the Cathedrals was not that expensive and Dwellings was around one hundred dollars. I found both of these sellers by doing a simple google internet search, so they are out there, though Dwellings does tend to be more expensive, or harder to find at a less expensive rate.
 
jonjan, why would you name the thread your name when its about finding Fulcanelli books? Remember that this is not a instant-message chat but a forum-board, it would be much more accessible for others if it had the correct name.

Sorry, to interrupt, perhaps this is of no importance, but what is up with those prices. I got my copies of the two books for more or less 20€ each. Is it that difficult to find the Fulcanelli books in english?

Yes it seems the Fulcanelli maket in Spanish is saturated....the English market is not! I was in a specialty bookshop in San Sebastian and was blown away by the variety and the prices. Reprints of lots of old alchemy texts too, which were amazing. Pity I don't speak Spanish.
 
For anyone in Queensland, New South Wales or anywhere in Australia, there is a great little esoteric book shop in Byron Bay named Abraxas Books, where I picked up Mysteries of the Chathedrals. They have a web site, but it is fairly limited in scope.
 
Just a quick note. The hard to get "Dwellings of the Philosophers" will be soon available at www.redpillpress.com and www.qfspublishing.com at prices less than Amazon.

Supply will be better too. :cool:

since I really want to read all of Fulcanelli's and Canseliet's books in their original language, I have taken up French (also Latin and Old Greek, but only from time to time do I get to deal with them). I am writing this because I have noticed something weird. The Dwellings of the Philosophers, the English translation, amounts to 550 pages with all the commentaries by Canseliet. There is in the french amazon a french version of the Dwellings, which is 856 pages, separated in 2 volumes which I am planning to buy at some point: _http://www.amazon.fr/gp/product/2720201006. I have made translations but such a huge difference is weird to observe. Does any French speaking member have it, and if yes - why the 300+ pages difference?
 
Do you have the English translation already? If so, maybe you can tell us why the difference once you have had a look at the French version? (Sorry that this doesn't help answer your question. :) )

Yes, I have the English version. I'll check as soon as I can. Maybe it's not the translation, maybe the translators had the wrong version or they decided to leave out some parts. Important to know what the rest is all about, this is a priceless book.

So is there a difference between the 2 volume book you linked to and this version: _http://www.amazon.fr/gp/product/1614273588 ? Curious to know as I'm also planning on buying the French version sometime in the near future.
