Guess this explains all the buzz during the following week (of the 17th), with 2016 GS2 being big enough to have a lot of smaller debris to let lose one hell of a Meteor Storm.
I do believe some country's had Intel of this activity and were monitoring all aspects of it's potential. Especially for negative political opportunity's.
