Fireball tally from American Meteor Society

Guess this explains all the buzz during the following week (of the 17th), with 2016 GS2 being big enough to have a lot of smaller debris to let lose one hell of a Meteor Storm.

I do believe some country's had Intel of this activity and were monitoring all aspects of it's potential. Especially for negative political opportunity's.

Hi all. I seen a daytime fireball at 10:30am Sunday 24-7-2016. Central Queensland coast, Australia
Driving up to a T insection, facing NNE, going very slow, caught a flash high on the windshield.( Now this is broad daylight, not a cloud in the winter sky) At about 10 to 20deg off the horizon I see a bluey green tail with a white blue plasma ball shooting towards the ground, the instant I realize what I'm seeing the ball of plasma dissipates and 4 yellow orange shards spew out towards the city of Rockhampton.
If you look between your thumb and forefinger with a fully stretched arm. The head and tail was 2" long and the plasma ball was the size of my little finger nail...
At night this would be a big deal! Found out tonight my son's friend see it as well and his mates didn't believe him...lol.... now they will!

I wounder if there is a relation. Argentina and Australia are not an exact latitudinal match but, could see the possibility's of leftovers (debris), from this possible observation below.

General Roca is a city in the northeast of the Argentine Latitude: -39° 01' 59.99" S Longitude: -67° 34' 59.99" W vs Brisbane: (capital city) 27° 28' S, 153° 1' E
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Latitude_and_longitude_of_cities,_A-H
Cairns:16° 55' S, 145° 46' E
Weipa: 12° 39' S, 141° 50' E
Yaraka: 24° 52' S, 144° 4' E

Nice Catch. Good observation. T'sFS.

Fire in the Sky News | NOT a meteor over Argentina! | What shook buildings?
Published on Jul 23, 2016
Experts say a 'meteor' shook buildings and homes over the city of General Roca, Argentina on July 20, 2016. Based off of the numbers I see associated with this event it is impossible to have been a meteor, it had to have been something else.

Video: Airport Workers Stunned at Sight of Strange Phenomenon in Miami Night Sky

http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2016/07/23/video-airport-workers-stunned-at-sight-of-strange-phenomenon-in-miami-night-sky/
Video reportedly captured at a Miami airport shows a strange phenomenon lighting up the night sky and leaving airport workers in disbelief.

The fascinating footage shows a strange blueish light streaking across the sky.

“Check that out! Oh, it’s going to hit the tip of the plane!” one man is heard shouting.

While some viewers theorized it could be a UFO or something more sinister, others put forth more reasonable explanations.

The Daily Mail outlines one of the theories:

One user says it is a ‘Florida rocket launch’, and another agrees, saying the ‘plume is from a hydrogen powered rocket engine, water vapor condenses in the high altitude forming a cloud of ice crystals reflecting light from the sun which, from this viewpoint, is below the horizon.’

Although it is not known when this footage was shot, on June 24 the Atlas V rocket was fired off from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station.

The rocket was fired into orbit loaded with a Navy satellite.

Chinese Rocket? Mysterious Light Streaks Across California Sky (VIDEO
http://sputniknews.com/us/20160728/1043732976/california-lights-chinese-rocket.html

At approximately 9:30 PM on Wednesday evening (4:30 AM Thursday morning GMT) social media was flooded with reports of a strange light show lasting roughly 30 seconds. Seen by people from Sacramento to Las Vegas, 500 miles away, and even in parts of Utah, no one could provide an explanation for what they were seeing.

On Thursday, the US Strategic Command confirmed that what people had witnessed was actually the remnants of a Chinese CZ-7 rocket, launched last month, burning up as it reentered the Earth’s atmosphere. The Joint Space Operations Center tracks nearly 16,000 man-made objects in our planet’s orbit, and said the rocket descended at approximately the same time social media began to respond.

Traveling at approximately 18,000 miles per hour, there are no reports that any part of the rocket reached the ground.

Still, some have offered other explanations.

"Anytime you have a report of a luminous object, it’s a fair bet it’s a natural event," Griffith Observatory’s director Ed Krupp told local NBC.

"It’s likely space debris or a meteor produced by interplanetary debris."

This isn’t the first fireball seen over the United States recently. Last month, people across the Midwest witnessed a meteor burning through the atmosphere.

"It looked like one of the more expensive fireworks shooting down instead of up," an Illinois man told the American Meteor Society. "I could have sworn it landed in the field I was driving by."

The AMS described this object as a "bolide."

"A bolide is a special type of fireball which explodes in a bright terminal flash at its end, often with visible fragmentation," the organization’s website reads. "Several thousand meteors of fireball magnitude occur in the Earth’s atmosphere each day. The vast majority of these, however, occur over the oceans and uninhabited regions, and a good many are masked by daylight."

There may have been a major event with the possible on ground destruction. Not sure what happen, or even related.
