Don't know if this link has been mentioned and couldn't find a general meteor thread, but here's a constantly updated tracker/ list of fireballs:

The days of drips here and there are over, the pelting has begun - now even a week old sighting seems like old news, but I'll just mention the latest larger one from my region : 28 / 10 / 2013

There is the NASA’s All-Sky Fireball Network, a network of camera installed in three zones of the united states. Description here: _http://fireballs.ndc.nasa.gov/
The results are summarized on the spaceweather page. For instance:
On Nov. 30, 2013, the network reported 36 fireballs. (35 sporadics, 1 November omega Oriond)
That's a lot.
Unfortunately, I couldn't find any structured archives to assess the temporal variation of the fireball rates over those regions.
