Fires In Greece

Do yuh think that the fires in Greece are the result of Class Warfare?

Do yuh think that the Poor Folks are burning-out the Rich Folks? It seems to me that all the fires are being lit in Well-To-Do areas.

In the U.S., the poor always burned-out their own areas, but maybe in Greece it's a different story, eh?

Fires in Greece....

Sorry I haven't introduced myself yet...it is on my "short list" of things to do. I'm not well versed on navigating in this environment so please excuse my lack of experience.

What I wanted to mention was...that while I was doing my morning BS review( this consists of channel surfing the talking head, mainstream media outlets) I noticed a glaring omission from all of the BS purveyors( MSNBC-Left crap, FOX- Right crap, and BBC- Middle crap). Although they all ran the story in their headlines, not a single word was mentioned as to the CAUSE( or even the "suspected cause"!) of the fires. Someone needs to investigate this further....I also noticed this story seemed to be blatantly ignored in the following days...SOP for these outlets, with their one day attention spans and BS distraction stories.

Anyway....I am aware of the very dry conditions where these fires occurred....but it sounds to me like one more piece of strong evidence for what appears to be a major media policy of NOT reporting (or even speculating!) about fire falling from the sky........its just too frightening for the sleepwalkers to consider, and god forbid it might wake them up!

I just checked the BBC web site for more details ..http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/8216622.stm....and all I saw about cause, which was NOT mentioned on the TV story, was that it was " reported to have started near a construction site of a new waste facility.....near the ancient city of Marathon..." OK, so we basically have hearsay as to the "where", and no "what, why or how" on the cause. I suppose we should all be used to this by now...

This does remind me of the fires in California. I know its dry out there and not much rain but they never really seem to say what caused the fire, just that its destroying lots of acreage. Their wonderful 'Governator' is letting the state fall apart out there also, so it makes me wonder sometimes what else they're up to?

As a lifelong "watcher of the skies" and total skeptic, I've long noticed the "blind spot" the media has for making ANY speculation of fire from the sky. Its much easier to blame it on some careless smoker or camper, than to even suggest that it may be caused by, what appears to me to be the MOST likely cause of ignition. Think about how many times, when we hear about a remote or semi-remote area that is "plagued by wildfires" has MULTIPLE fires, disconnected by enough distance that one did not start the other. It is possible that it is "dry lightning", or a sick pyro driving around in the wilderness, but from an objective perspective, and knowing what we do about how common the occurrence of meteor fragments getting thru our atmosphere is, you'd think they might at least mention it along with the other "unconfirmed reports" or speculation.

As for "class warfare" it is a distinct possibility. Since I'm not fully informed, and don't have direct experience as to the political/social situation in that part of the world, I can't comment on that...BUT...I have noticed that the media seems cover the tragedies of the "haves" with more time and attention than is given to the tragedies of the "have nots" ...SOP for them.

One other related thought/observation that keeps bobbing to the surface in this situation,(and it may have been discussed on a thread I haven't read yet...there's SO much to read here! ) is this...if I allow myself to look at the mainstream medias behavior in the same way I look at a persons behavior, its hard to come to any conclusion other than its pure unadulterated psychopathy....of the worst kind..the wolf in sheep's clothing. The flat out denial of what is so obviously a real possibility is the "plank in the eye" of those who claim to bring us the "truth". It does appear that the Masters of the BS factories( or CONINTLPRO) has a serious issue with the "sheep" looking up...and thinking.

If you asked any media underling about this glaring omission, you would most likely be told the standard series of lies, like "we don't like to speculate about things like that" and "we need evidence " and "we don't want to cause any unnecessary panic"...etc...while at the same time its become SOP to identify and name "suspects" in crimes BEFORE charges are brought( let alone a trial and verdict!)...talk about speculation! It seems to be OK to destroy another persons life on a unconfirmed rumor...but god forbid we mention something that might upset a large portion of the "herd"(unless, of course, you WANT them upset).

I admit it may be wrongheaded to be anthropomorphizing a thing like the "mainstream media", but I do see a macro-micro similarity here...so for "fun" lets just look at it that way....so, here's the traits of your "friend" Mr.Media. Hes handsome, well groomed and educated. The confidence of his demeanor and melodious sound of his voice fills all his words with "truth". His mission in life is to find out "whats happening" and bring it to the people. He ALWAYS has something new and interesting, and most times controversial...what an interesting, engaging guy!....But then, after knowing him for years you start to "see" things. Upon deeper reflection you come to the realization that almost EVERYTHING that ever issued forth from his mouth was doublespeak, lies, half-truths, and rumor. Worse yet, if you (or real evidence) has ever proven him wrong, he either denies it was said, or just moves on to the next "hot" topic.(DON'T expect an apology!) If you nail him in public, be prepared for a personal attack on your integrity and your credentials. If you do take the time to investigate ALL sides of any one of his "stories", you find that almost every one was severely slanted, or 180 degrees off. If you backup a little more, and look at the bigger picture...you start to see that there is an obvious agenda, a method to his madness....which is to say, distort, obfuscate, and distract you from the truth, and at the same time make you believe that your "informed and current"......(AND HYPNOTIZED!)....and BTW, while your asleep, his bosses are robbing you and killing your children. Its a psychopathic triple crown!

Excuse me..I didn't mean for this to be a rant , and I'm certain that I'm just "preaching to the choir". I have felt this way for a long time, before I found Laura's story and her very similar view of reality. I must say, its really nice to find other sane humans who are willing to speak the truth. When you have an organisation or a group of similar organisations filled with psychopaths or people who have been ponerised by submitting to certain stated and unstated assumptions and rules in order to fit in, to retain their jobs or whatever other justification they can come up with, then it isn't a problem to anthropomorphise the way you did above. The organisations will be the expression of those individuals that make it up.

Well, this class-warfare explanation is new to me! It's like all sort of excuses are brought forth to divert the public attention, like the other common topic 'They're making it up to get insurance money and build houses where not still legally possible.' or 'it was a light cigarette', 'a wild and deadly spark', and so on. So many cases and so few people found guilty.

It got me speculating. And it stuck me last year or two an article published by an Italian blogger, writing about a first hand report by one of his friends in Southern Italy where fires where spreading all over. He told that flames where popping up from the ground as he was busy pouring water around his mansion/hotel, together with his siblings.

That was very odd, and none denied that post later on. It was just, fortean like a drop in the sea, but who knows anyway??

So, fire form the sky apart, are some guys up there beaming down nasty rays, as in Sicily's Canneto di Caronia case? How often?

...well, it's also that, that would leave no tracks behind, at all... not even any small rock.
That would be also a good strategy to begin mounting up more and more media lies before any 'fire in winter'.

The Lockheed fire certainly looks suspicious as far as when it started because it coincides with the Perseid meteor shower peak.
