First books to buy

As suggested by Laura in a reply to a post I made on the LWB thread, I am ordering LWB and Primal Body, Primal Mind. I would like to order one more book as well, but looking at the comprehensive reading list, I cannot decide which one is most suitable for this early stage in my development. I was leaning toward ISOTM, but thought I would ask if that's the best way to go or not. There are so many, it is difficult to know where to start.

It looks like you are going in the diet/health sections and are ordering three books from there. It depends what other subject you want to order from there is psychology (I just finished Myth of Sanity. Very good book and will change your perspective on people and humanity) or you could go and order a book from the esoteric section (ISOTM). There are also politics, UFO's and many more. What interests you? ISOTM is a great buy you might not understand it at first but as you grow you will re read it and things will start to make more sense. I don't understand it all and refer back to it from time to time. Its a great book to have.

Gurdjieff is foundational to the Cassiopaean Forum, so ISOTM is an excellent choice.

Well, at some point I would like to read all of the books recommended here. I think at this point I need to address my diet and psychological health first, as I am attempting to identify my programs as well as alter my diet. Hopefully that clarifies my position at this point. Suggestions?

Any one of these should prove helpful for your aim:

Myth of Sanity - Martha Stout
The Narcissistic Family - Stephanie Donaldson-Pressman and Robert M. Pressman
Trapped in the Mirror - Elan Golomb
Unholy Hungers - Barbara E. Hort
In Sheep's Clothing - George K. Simon

Yea, and I would add The Secret History of the World which deal with many subjects. Have you read TSHotW?

These are great suggestions and I would also second "The Vegetarian Myth".

I have not read Secret History yet, but I plan to once I get myself in a better condition physically and psychologically to do so. I have decided to order 2 more in addition to the diet books mentioned above. I came to this conclusion after reading some of the synopsis and comments on them- ISOTM and Myth of Sanity. These are the best fits for what I need at my current level of understanding.

Thank you all for the replies. Once finished with these books, I will continue with other recommended selections.
