For Those Interested in Learning Reiki

I did some digging and came up with what appears to be an excellent resource on Reiki. (Pronounced Ray-Key. See, even I didn't know that!)

It contains information pages on everything you need to know about Reiki, including a http:(2slsh)reiki(dot)7gen.com/directory/index.php.directory of Reiki practitioners if you want to get initiated as a Reiki healer yourself.

Just curious about what sort of digging around you did and why you think this web page and these reiki practioners are worthwhile?

I basically found that website after doing a lot of Google searches, and looking through a lot of websites until I found that one.

From the Wave Series I know that Usui Traditional Reiki is the *correct* Reiki to use, since its lineage can be traced to the very source of Reiki, Dr. Mikao Usui.

I don't see anywhere on that webpage that they don't follow the teachings of Usui Traditional Reiki. It's a good resource, and it just helped me to find an Usui Reiki healer right here in Kaneohe, Hawaii.

At the bottom of the page is a copyright notice that refers to one David Herron as the owner/copyright holder. Is he well-known, and is he good or bad news?

Ahh, I see - I don't really know about David Herron, but others might. As I said, I was just curious.

I have been thinking in save some money to take those classes but Im not sure if this woman have a good lineage or if it is coming from Dr Usui ?????
When I read about that some persons using Reiky can revert the energy and things like that ,strikes me , and if I do something and it is wrong ????? :/

So have you checked or asked her about her lineage? Every honest and decent reiki sensei will happily tell you about their lineage. If not, then you can be sure there is something fishy about it.

Ask to see a chart of the lineage, as there is likely to be more than one line coming down to your proposed teacher. It may be at the back of a handbook that your proposed teacher may supply.

As Trevrizent wrote, the best option would be to see the chart. I also find that he price of the courses are pretty standard. Zim, I'm curious if you have read the many earlier discussions about Reiki on the forum or on the links provided? You would have found many answers to your questions by doing a little 'digging' on your own. Learning is fun, remember?
