Fourth Way Walking?

Fourth Way Walking

As an approach to understanding how the mind tends to trance out during boring, robotic, mechanical behavior while engaged in repetitious activity as mundane as walking down the street, one can perform a certain walk exercise in two stages.

Stage one: one simply walks down the street for two or three blocks or so, as usual.

Stage two: Now, stop, turn around and walk back to the original starting point using the method demonstrated in the video.

1) How does your sense of 'being in the present' compare?

2) How does your sense of 'emotional spontaneity' compare?

3) How does your sense of 'moving mechanically' compare?

4) How does your sense of 'thinking mechanically' compare?

5) How does the 'content of the thoughts' compare?

The walking method.

Or, you could try this one.

Actually, I've done that at college......
I blame Monty Python personally. I seem to remember running and (comically) going splat against fire doors, and their was at least one incidence of barking at people all day :P

Can I add those as 4th Way examples of using doors and communicating?

Maybe we should all apply for government grants to help us develop our silly walks. Thanks for the laugh
