A demonstrator is on the ground in a very serious condition on the Champs-Elysées.
Did a little digging and found out her name is Tricia Lindsay and she is a civil rights attorney. This speech is from 1-19-22 so a bit before the Freedom Convoy.Thank you Canadians!

Yep, and Maher is one of my least favorite people in the circle of nightly hosts, but it strikes me as Trudeau is now disposable, they will channel all on him get him out and use it to allow people to let off some steam because the timing is adequate for that.OKAY… When super liberal Bill Maher starts calling you Hitler, I think you’ve lost the plot!
Very good points, and that's one of those things that escapes a lot of the people that tend to see the world through the left vs. right paradigm. The left in South and Central America, and the Caribbean has always been a nationalist movement. But even that statement is not always accurate, look at Venezuela with a leftist nationalist government, who jumped in the bandwagon of the restrictions and vaccinations, and Brazil, a right wing government who didn't and as such are demonized all the time from abroad. So the paradigm is really useless when trying to understand someone's humanity or the humanity of the leader of a nation. It is a distraction. You are right, Alejo. And although the whole Castro thing comes up, it's completely irrelevant. Turdeau is a coward. He hates working people. Castro was about working people. 13 guns and a plan - to get rid of Battista. He was a nationalist for Cuba from the beginning. The CIA tried to kill him on multiple occasions. That isn't the case with Justin(ian). The CIA likes him - for now.
I'm not going to defend Castro for his governance, or his political system. But he always answered questions directly. Like it or hate it, Castro's words are on film, unedited and he is who he is. He never backed down from his defence of Cuba. Trudeau does not represent working Canadians. He is an actor. Not many Canadians who lived through the depression are still alive. So the "deprivation" element is not very real. Cubans lived with that every day before Castro and they probably still live with it today.
I will say this, I have seen no political nor ideological drives at our protests. There are a bunch of Jehovah/Pentacosts handing out word salad books on Apocalypse. But they are trying to fight for the same cause as us - hopefully.
