The thing is, the recent cold and snow CAN be evidence of a heating of the planet in certain areas. There is the well-known "melting of arctic ice leading to a cooling of the gulf stream leading to a mini ice age". This is what the mainstream pundits are claiming. The real bone of contention is whether or not this heating-leading to colder weather in parts and hotter weather in others is due to the burning of oil etc i.e. man-made, or whether it is part of a natural cycle that the planet has always gone through.

Well unlike the most of Europe, we are having real spring weather here, yesterday midday it was around 25 degrees, nice and sunny. This is totally unusual January weather even for Malta.

Yeah, my parents in Portugal said they had Summer almost until December, which is highly unusual as well. As for me, it is pretty darn cold here in Britain yes, I'm wearing scarf, robe on top of a woollen sweater, and fingerless gloves as I write this!
