Nicks is also a friend of Courtney Love; I saw there's already a Sarfatti list connection to Ms. Love but she's had a bit of a rough life.

Hi
Should be for another thread, but a quick note. The documentary on the life of Kurt Cobain "Kurt and Courtney" by Nick Broomfield certainly shows courtney in a very psychopathic light.Even suspicions raised into her possable connection to a death or two.She is by all acounts and shown in this documentary to be a very violent human being.
I agree, hence this post.
Isn't it interesting that Kurt Cobains' band was called Nirvana, i.e. enLIGHTenment, an out pouring movement, Whereas Courney Loves' band was appropriately called "Hole", as in a Black hole? A withdrawing movement?
Weird no?

Yes when you state it like that...hmmmm. I dont know whether you have seen the Broomfield film,it sure shocked me. I felt kurts death was suspicious at the time.I wasnt a great fan, liked some of his music. The line "I swear that i dont have a gun" in one of his songs made me at one time think he was trying to send out a message. And then death by gun.

The film sure shows you how courtney used people for her own ends.Punching writers and death threat messages she would leave on peoples answering machines.

Then theres the guy who said he was offered 50 thousand dollars by courtney to kill Kurt who i believe was looking into divorcing courtney.Anyway this guy states it on the film and before the film is finished he is found dead on a railway track.hmmmm

Have you read Cobain's suicide note?

It's pretty amazing. He keeps talking about empathy, how there isn't enough empathy.

I'll see if I can find the text.

I found the text, but it is interspersed with C. Love's psychopathic comments. I will exerpt out Cobains part about empathy, but here is the link if you want to read Courtney Love's comments: http://www.ludd.luth.se/misc/nirvana/misc/suicide.html

Cobain said:
I had a good marriage, and for that I'm grateful. But
since the age of seven, I've become hateful toward all
humans in general only because it seems so easy for
people to get along that have empathy.
At this point C. Love can only say "Empathy?" as if it were the most foreign concept to her. She kept calling him a------- the whole time she was reading this as if the big problem was how it affected her.

Cobain said:
Only because I love and feel for people too much I guess
Thank you all from the pit of my burning nauseous stomach
for your letters and concern during the last years. I'm
pretty much of an erratic moody person and I don't have the
passion anymore. Peace, Love, Empathy, Kurt Cobain.

I've listened to this song (the last one Nirvana recorded (1993) - released in 2002) a number of times and thought he was talking about C. Love and their relationship. The lyrics might not be accurate since you will find slightly different versions on the web. I always wondered about the why of the 'battle' between the surviving members of Nirvana and CL over the song. Never made sense to me. I'll put the documentary on a list of things to watch.

Hmm. Courtney Love.... Caught-any-Love?

Maybe Cobain was the "catch"?

Nothin' really bothers her
She just wants to love herself
I found this part quite telling.

hm, if he wrote a suicide note that shows him as a human being with empathy, and courtney is a psychopath, doesn't that sort of rule out that she killed him/had him killed?

who would have written the note for him, if he didn't want to kill himself?

This site: http://www.cobaincase.com/, created by a Private Detective, hired by Love at the time of the supposedly suicide, puts her actually under a very bad light, if someone wants to check it out if you havent already.

Thanks for reminding me about this incident and the film, will look for it, it will certainly help me understand the pathology behind the psychopaths as I continue to read Laura's articles about them.

I remember when Kurt died and accepted the official story, however I stumbled upon the film Kurt and Courtney a few weeks ago and did some follow up viewing of some videos with Courtney Love and I must say it has changed the way I look at this whole case.

First of all, here is the Kurt and Courtney movie in its entirety:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1QSSa7isPM0

At one point in the film, I had this really horrible realisation that Courtney may be a psychopath and that I was somehow understanding "this is how they think". The film ends stating that the film maker doesn't know for sure whether Courtney had Kurt killed, but I think the film provides some strong evidence for something creepy going on. Specifically I found the following points relevant to the case and Courtney's pathology:

- The accounts from Courtney's father about her violent behaviour and "the way she thinks"
- (As someone else mentioned) El Duce mentioning that Courtney asked him to blow Kurt's head off for $50,000. Strangely enough, he also almost named another person involved and implied they actually did the job but stopped himself from saying. It turns out he was hit by a train within two weeks or so and died.
- There were no fingerprints found on the bullets in the gun
- Kurt apparently took a lot a dose of heroin that would have made it impossible to operate the rifle

All of the above details I realise are questionable, but I think present a valid reason to do a new investigation. As well, it puts Courtney in a very bad light.

Here are some other clips which show Courtney's nature:

Interesting the way she describes herself in this interview. Right out of the textbook of "are you a psychopath?": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fgqt0ofwE3g

A very interesting interview with Barbara Walters. Is it sincere, or a big performance? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2b0jtX8YWI4

I'd be interested to hear people's thoughts on this. Would you label her a psychopath, sociopath or just emotionally troubled. I would say at least sociopath.
