General strike in US called for on 9/11

Not sure if this is the right section for this item. This might be of interest to US readers and perhaps share wth others. A general strike is called for over various issues including the proposed attack on Iran - the website is -

A chance to shout out the slogan from the movie ' Network' - " I'm as mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore" - and sent a clear message to the pathocrats.

It would be great if we could get a formidable percentage of people striking on that day but I expect the turnout to be depressingly small. Then again, thousands of people are waking up daily...

the other thing is that if a miracle happened and some huge proportion, say, 20% of the American work force downed tools and went on strike that day. It just WOULD NOT be mentioned on the news! Either that or it would be spun round into calling all the strikers 'insurgents' or something.

just the same as always happens with anti-war rallies etc. not so much as a whisper on the mass media, unless millions upon millions turn up, and then it is portrayed as a pointless rant by a 'handful' of ignorant/irresponsible activists.

Maybe this is the time for americans to do it what the French usually do in a massive way i.e. get bums off seats and into the streets.

There has been another call for a general strike -this time on Election Day ( November the 6th). Details again at www.strike911.org.

Ofcourse it is possible to endlessly analyse the pros and cons of any such action (or inaction), but if the future is open then who knows what is possible? If in the US you could pass this info on.
